Walk around Chinatown and stop for Dim Sum at Nam Wah Tea Parlor. It’s the best Dim Sum in New York. On the weekend there is a long wait, so better to go during the week.
Great to walk, explore the city, try some exotic food, and you can walk directly to little Italy
Amazing Chinatown has grown in area over the years and. Many excellent Chinese and Southeast Asian restaurants - try EVERYTHING but especially hand-pulled noodles, dumplings and dim-sum. interesting stores- best place to buy souvenirs- selling everything from dried fish to herbs and spices, and the best fresh produce in the NYC area! A fun, vibrant, bustling neighborhood!

Day 3 Chinatown No long weekend in New York is complete without visiting the famous Chinatown, and luckily it is just across Canal Street from Little Italy. This is a popular spot for everyone as it includes history and community, as well as delicious food. The entirety of this district feels like one giant attraction, which is very interesting to think about as it’s also the place where the largest Chinese community lives outside of Asia. Here you’ll find a large number of genuine restaurants, quirky little shops, and street markets with a general sense of community.

Sure, most US cities can boast Chinatowns, but New York's is one of the oldest in the country, as well as outside of Asia. Once you bypass the fake purses, knockoff perfumes and general insanity of Canal Street, you'll enter a surreal, bustling world full of fruit and veggie stands overflowing with exotic produce you've never seen before, open air fish markets writhing with live eels, and parks full of people playing Xiàngqí (Chinese chess). Dense and boisterous, Chinatown has 103,060 people per square mile to New York’s 27,183.
