This home is exactly as it is described. If you are looking for fancy, this ain’t it! It was perfect for what we were looking for…an escape from civilization. Cinnamon’s communication was great, her instructions were clear, and she set it up so we were well taken care of by the staff at Itza resort. We snorkeled right in front of the house and saw sharks, rays, conch, and lobster. We took two days out with Itza staff fishing, snorkeling, and diving for conch. The boat ride is about 2 and a half hours. We hit a storm coming back to the mainland and it was a very rough and wet ride. It is not for everyone. The only negative thing I can say, which has absolutely nothing to do with Cinnamon or her home, is that I was surprised by the amount of garbage that washes ashore. You see it everywhere on the island. We spent a few hours cleaning up the beach in front of the house, filling 3 garbage bags with trash. It took only a few minutes for a bunch more to wash ashore. Just know to expect it!

We loved our stay at Villas Secreta! It was beautiful and the staff were incredible (especially Shauna and Jorgie!). It was a bit remote- we didn’t realize how far away secret beach was from the main part of San Pedro. But overall, amazing experience.

I loved staying at the eco lodge, being in nature without close neighbors, looking at birds and iguanas, and listening to the sound of nature, while being safe in the cabin at night. David shared shared local knowledge and history about the région. He is planting trees on the property and, it seems, doing his part to help maintain a healthy habitat for the monkeys (they need lots of trees and a wide variété of them). It felt very special to hear howler monkeys (they are most active early in the morning and before sunset). Though I did not spot any on the property, I biked to the nearby monkey sanctuary in the late afternoon and saw them there. I did not have a car and David picked me up from the airport (there is free wi-fi in the airport, which is helpful). I felt safe as a woman traveling alone and enjoyed a walk on the country side next the river. Though the pond is small, I ventured on the kayak and it was worth it. I got to approach an iguana and a big friendly rodent.

Simple and clean. Very safe & quiet location. For the price it was perfect after a long 3 days travel to get to Belize. Recommend a taxi driver cost was $20USD. He was helpful & stopped by a grocery store for us. In my opinion, it would be helpful to rent a car for this location. Would recommend staying here.

We highly recommend staying here. Rachael’s place was clean & very comfortable. Rachael & Bruce are amazing hosts. when you stay here you need to order food. It is so good. Rachael & Bruce are friendly and will help you with whatever you need. Highly recommend the taste of Belize tour. Definitely go hungry. We had an amazing time learning the history of Belize City Bruce & Rachael are very knowledge about the history of their country. Their place is in a residential area and is very peaceful. We stayed a week here and did not want to leave. I highly recommend you do tours with them as they take care of you. If you want the freedom to drive around the country then I recommend renting a car. They can help with a good company. Bruce took us to a grocery store, ATM and restaurant before we checked in. You are fine with using US $ and they will give you change in Belize $. Bruce and Rachael have become friends. We look forward to our return trip & staying with this amazing family again.

Godfrey communicated with us in advance and arranged pick up from airport to a restaurant (he had a few recommendations) and then being brought from restaurant to the cabin He was very friendly and welcoming The cabin was clean , nice wooden floors, comfortable bed , quite, felt nice with A/C We were able to heat up our breakfast in Mwave and made black coffee

Michelle and Krystal are very kind and welcoming hosts. The AirBnB listing was quite comfortable felt and just like home from day 1. I’m grateful for my great experience in Belize thanks to them!
