It was such a pleasure staying in this cozy and stylishly decorated apartment for a few weeks. The place is spacious and well-eqipped with everything you might need. Shreshth and his parents were lovely hosts, very responsive if i ever needed anything. The location is peaceful and beautiful, with lovely views of the mountain from the balcony, though a little far from restaurants and services (about 15-20 minutes' walk to restaurants and 25 minutes if you need laundry done). Having said that, getting food delivered through Zomato was easy enough. Overall, I highly recommend.

I had an amazing stay at Stargazer Chalet.The property is a hidden gem, tucked away in a peaceful location with a stream just at the back. We also took a short 5-10 minute walk to the stream, which was a lovely experience. Kartik was an excellent host, offering great recommendations for nearby restaurants, all of which were delicious. The vibe of the place is fantastic – the lawn area is beautifully maintained with lush greenery all around, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. There’s also the added bonus of outdoor games like badminton and cricket, which were a lot of fun. Overall, Stargazer Chalet is a perfect retreat for anyone looking to unwind in nature. Kartik’s hospitality and the peaceful setting made it a memorable stay. Highly recommend!

Sian’s place is what you always hope an Airbnb will be like, but rarely ever is. Her and Boby were so engaged and helpful, always just a text away and provided the perfect mix of helpfulness and leaving us to our own devices. The homemade bread and jam they made for us when we arrived was such a sweet touch also. The place itself is absolutely beautiful and calm, we spent the short amount of time we had there just looking out at the beautiful fields of grain and the sunset right from the bedroom window. The hut is so beautifully refurbished, it felt so cosy waking up each morning and putting on the Tibetan slippers, making tea and going for walks around the forest and cafe above. Boby organised for us to go to the hot springs, where we bathed in the hot water under the pine trees after the long hike which was absolutely incredible also. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to escape off the beaten track and connect with yourself and nature for a few days (or weeks!!)

The stay was excellent and the food they shared with us was wonderful and homely. Immaculately kept house. The only thing to note would be that the path to reach the gate is steep and narrow, almost too small for our SUV. Do keep that in mind.

Sparrow House is the perfect vacation stay—spacious, cozy, and complete with a stocked kitchen. But the real highlight is The dreamy outdoor seating,And the best part? It’s all our just peace, nature, and good vibes. You will wake up with the sound of sparrows. We came for paragliding, but the weather had other plans. Thank you karan for turning the day into an adventure with a hidden trek, a monastery visit, and sunset tea at a secret spot. Unexpected, yet absolutely unforgettable! Our hosts, Karan and Harshita, are absolute gems. We arrived late, lost, and exhausted. One call, and Karan came arranged a car for us. By the time we reached, warm food was waiting. That’s real hospitality! One of us had a birthday, and we casually mentioned it in passing. Next thing we knew, there was a candle-lit garden dinner, the best cake in Bir, and music under the stars. Thoughtful, personal, and truly special. We’re still talking about it. Sparrow House isn’t just a stay its home.

We had a great stay at Sanjiv's property during the India v England Test match. It was in an ideal location, 30 minutes walk from the stadium and with a open rooftop giving stunning views of the mountains and over Dharamshala - definitely pop up there around sunset! Sanjiv was a most friendly and responsive host (who speaks good English) and helped organise travel for me to go trekking at short notice when the cricket finished early. One minor point to be aware of - the GPS location pin on AirBnb wasn't accurate so I took a while to find the house. It's up a lane that leaves the main road to the right of Hotel Sajan / opposite 7 To 9 Needs.

I had an amazing stay! The location was perfect—close to everything I needed—and the view was absolutely stunning. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy my time there. I had so much fun during my visit and truly appreciated the warm hospitality. I would love to come back again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We had an amazing stay at Nazara House, perfectly situated between lower Dharamsala and the upper regions like McLeodganj. The view from the property is absolutely stunning—you get a panoramic look at the Dharamsala valley and the HPCA stadium, and on clear days, the Dhauladhar range is a majestic sight to behold. The house itself is extremely well-equipped with everything you could ask for—three spacious bedrooms, a modern kitchen with all necessary appliances (fridge, microwave, purifier, etc) and even a washing machine and bathtub in the bathroom. The highlight was definitely the pool table in the living area—a great way to unwind after a day of exploring. Sukhdev ji, our host, was warm, helpful, and ensured we had a very comfortable stay. There was also a kind and efficient maid who helped with cooking and maintaining the house, making it feel like a true home away from home. Highly recommended for families or groups looking for a peaceful yet accessible base in Dharamsala.

This place was wonderful. It was my first stop in India so the perfect place to settle in. It’s a short walk from McLeod Ganj and is surrounded by great amenities including a couple of great restaurants, a shop and a gym. The area is a great mix of Tibetan/Buddhist and Indian cultures. It’s wonderful! The view from the balcony is spectacular and the kitchen is well equipped for self catering. I was remote working so the work desk was ideal but trying to work without getting mesmerised by the view was hard 😂 The team couldn’t have done more for me including getting an Indian SIM card. Thanks guys. I’ll be returning and I can’t wait.

We were looking for a place away from busy Dharamsala that we could use as a base to explore the area and Ajit’s home fitted the bill perfectly. Located in Naddi, it is about 500m above Dharamsala and cooler. Accessing Dharamsala and McLeodganj was a breeze - if you have your own vehicle then no problem, else there are autos and taxis that ply from Dal Lake, which is an attraction close to Naddi.  The home itself is very nice. Very clean and neat and very thoughtfully furnished. The kitchen is well equipped with an induction stove, gas, refrigerator, water filter, utility vessels and some common grocery items needed for cooking. The view from the unit is amazing - it looks out onto some village homes in the distance on top of a hill with terraced fields in between and the show capped Dhauladhar peaks in the horizon. The unit is located in the second floor - accessed by 2 flights of stairs. So, if you have seniors in your contingent or someone with mobility issues, it is something to watch out for.  Ajit’s family - himself, wife and 2 young boys were amazing and most helpful with some our specific needs. Since Ajit has grown up in the Naddi area, he knows the place inside out and is happy to guide and help out.  Connectivity was one of the best we have had in Himachal - Vodafone works great and so does Jio. All in all - great value for money for your stay in the Dharamsala area - we would come back to stay - for the place, for the view, for the convenience and of course, Ajit and family - amazing folks! 

The place is very good and matches the description. All the things are on point. The Host is also very cooperative. Will definitely recommend to everyone.

It was a really nice stay. Big windows and neat balcony for an awesome view, liked being close to McLeod Ganj with being inside it. Shower room is a good size and clean. There was enough kitchen appliances for basic cooking. Bed was comfortable. Nice range of books(mainly in English)

We had a really great stay! The place was beautiful, with aesthetic interiors that made it feel cozy and thoughtfully designed. Amit and Aditi were incredibly friendly and approachable, always happy to help. One of the highlights was the detailed itinerary they provided—it had some amazing food recommendations and a great list of activities to do in Bir. It made exploring the area so much easier and more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this stay to anyone visiting Bir!

Excellent place to stay. very near to Stadium. Neat and clean, amenities were provided well. Host is very very helpful and responsive even at night time. Very much homely stay experience it was for us.

Our stay was wonderful, and Arjun made it even better. The place was spacious, with beautiful interiors that felt warm and inviting—more like staying at a friend’s home than just a rental. It was also in a super convenient location, which made getting around really easy. Arjun was incredibly helpful and kind. For example, when we asked about nearby restaurants, he shared his personal favorite and even told us what to order. It’s rare to find that level of thoughtfulness. I’d absolutely recommend staying here. Everything about it was top-notch!

This is not actually an Airbnb, it is a room in the Chokling Arthouse, which is the hotel next to Chokling Monastery. I never did meet Kartik, and when I asked about him, everyone at the guesthouse stared blankly, as if they'd never heard of him. But the hotel is lovely, as is the management, and the room is very spacious and comfortable with spectacular views. I loved my stay here. That said, it is definitely not big enough for three people. This is a suite for two people, even though the hotel will offer you an extra cot at a fee. There is really no where to put it, though, unless one person slept in the sitting area. There is also no kitchen, just a microwave and a few bowls, spoons, etc. There is AC, hot water, and a lovely sitting area. The hotel restaurant has extremely slow service and not many options, but the waiters are extremely friendly. This room opens onto a large public terrace area, which be noisy at night with people doing fire spinning, etc.

We booked Sukh Sagar to spend a quiet New Year as a family of three, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The host was approachable and very helpful before, upon our arrival and during the stay. The staff was proactive, ensuring our stay was clean, comfortable, and hassle-free on the beautiful Beas river front property. They even arranged a private New Year’s Eve celebration for us, complete with a bonfire and snacks. The flat was spacious, with large bedrooms, a cozy living room featuring a fireplace, and thoughtful amenities perfect for a family stay. WiFi, TV, and ample parking—everything was on point. Full marks for the setup! The surroundings were serene and picturesque, adding to the charm of the place. However, finding the homestay after reaching Dwara can be a little confusing. It’s best to ask for directions at local shops about Dobhi or contact the host for precise guidance. Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable stay. Highly recommended!

I chose Anhad House after a long exchange with Neha, after considering other local choices, and her responsiveness and clarity in communication immediately put me at ease. I loved the pics she had posted of the property; they spoke to the creative person in me. Minimalistic, but with a lot of care about the ethos and aesthetic that was evident from the posting and the pics. Neha helped guide me about transport to and fro, giving me options and helping me figure out the best way to plan as this was my first trip to Dharamsala. Nothing of what she said was misrepresented: the reviews are all 100% true. The icing on top was meeting Rekha and her family, who are the kind of people you meet once and want to keep in your life forever. Rekha's aloo parathas are manna from heaven. What a soul gift this trip has been. I am 100% coming back for a longer stay the next time! Thank you, Neha and Rekha, for the most wonderful experience! From the heart <3

This is a spacious, sunlit apartment with 2 nice rooms, good beds, a functional kitchen and bathroom. There is no shower; bucket method only. Namita is a responsive hostess, nice as can be. She responds quickly and handles whatever needed. Plus, she is the best chef in Himachal Pradesh. The location is decent, a grocery store across the street and walking distance to other basics. Kotvali Bazaar and McLeodgage are accessible. I will stay here again when I return to Dharamshala.
