Houten huisjes in Bodega Bay

This was a great, unique spot. We wish we stayed longer. Definitely not for everyone, as there are a lot of irregular stairs down a steep hillside, but that was part of the magic. We had a roaring fire both nights, and enjoyed the hot tub which we were baffled how it was ever installed down the hill. We enjoyed day trips and the local scene before continuing north on our redwoods road trip. Thanks again!

We had an amazing three night stay at Bob's home in Guerneville in early April. The setting is serene. It is up a small road that takes you onto a wooded ridge, so you feel perched in the trees when you look out the windows or sit on the back deck. There are a lot of uniquely configured windows that frame your view of the surroundings. The furnishings and decor are also beautifully curated to give the home a warm and lively feeling. The bed was very comfortable, bathroom was perfectly adequate, and smart TV setup worked well for us. We were not there long enough to make good use of the kitchen and BBQ, but hope to next time. The appliances, dishware, and everything else seemed to be in great shape. Long story short - we highly recommend Bob's home and would love to go back.

We had a great stay at the Treehouse! Chad was easy to reach and super quick to respond, though we didn't have any issues that needed his attention while we were there. Couple tips: Chad mentions there can be issues with ants and he's not kidding. We were careful about crumbs, but did have a box of cereal on the counter and they made their way in. To be clear, this is not a criticism of the space in any way - ants are gonna ant. We just started keeping all food in the fridge just to be safe and that seemed to work! If you're visiting during the off season, be advised many businesses are only open Thursday-Sunday. We had to adjust our stay a bit at the last minute and wound up arriving Sunday and leaving Thursday morning. Still had a great time, and there was still plenty to do, we just missed a couple things I wish we wouldn't have. Guess it's just a good excuse to come back!

Ryan & James place is a real gem. We had such a special, peaceful stay and enjoyed all the amenities, views and nearby hiking and beaches. You can hear the sound of the ocean waves from the beautiful deck. It was everything we wanted for our little romantic getaway. Thank you for sharing with us!

The house was perfect getaway for a relaxing spring break with my two tween kids and dog. It's definitely a place you want to cozy up in and read a book when it rains. It was decorated beautifully. The master bedroom was great, best night sleep and the little hidden loft was great for my kids. Did not miss having a TV, loved the record player and it offered us time to disconnect and play a lot of board games. However, wifi was strong when the kids did want to play/watch things on their tablets. Scenery around the house is stunning and it's close by the Sea Ranch Lodge if we wanted to go out for breakfast or dinner. Not too far from Stewarts Point General Store as well which was a cute spot. My kids loved the place so much they asked if we could move there!

Danielle’s place was a proper retreat in nature. Sooo well thought out. The hot tub with the views was the highlight. Loved the lighting in the bath too. We cooked there too. We had everything we needed to cook. Just the best time!!🦋 we would def return!! ✨❤️

We came here to celebrate my man’s 48th birthday and it was perfectly peaceful and had everything we needed for our little getaway. We sat by the fire listening to birds chirp and the water lap, and the romantic deck lights let us enjoy the serene soundscape well past sunset. It was so quiet and private considering the vicinity to other houses, but everyone was super nice and respectful and quiet, plus the house is so well insulated compared to our city condo that we couldn’t even hear the water really unless the windows were open, so needless to say we slept like babies. The bed was comfy and the place was stocked with everything needed to make coffee or tea in the morning. We had planned to party, and kayak, and swim, and grill, and do the whole nine but the peace and quiet gripped us and we realized we needed that quiet getaway more than we knew! It was so nice to slow down and enjoy such a serene and well appointed place that was super thoughtfully put together.

The cabin is very quiet with great views. The wood stove is more than sufficient to keep the place warm just be sure to bring some kindling and some paper. There was also a nice list of suggested spots and a record player. Overal a lovely stay.

This is an amazing place to stay! First of all, 1/3 acre in Monte Rio, fully FENCED, and next to a CREEK, is rare. Our senior dog LOVED it! Lorri thought of everything. From the dog towel, to the instructions on how to start and operate the fire pit and grill. It was all so inviting. The house-book is a must-read. We were greeted with chocolate chip and walnut cookies which were wonderful to snack on after a nearly 4 hour drive. Sweet Creek is EXTREMELY pet friendly but you still have to be a responsible pet owner and pick up after your pets and the basic things like dry their feet off and drape any furniture with sheets if they lay down on them. The picture board of animals who've stayed there, and the wonderful binder full of thank you notes was just so touching. We felt like we were staying at a friends house, not airbnb. We can't say enough with the character count left. Sweet Creek is a must! We will RETURN!

We loved staying at Noah and Joe's place! The place was beautiful and surrounded by nature. The cabin was very clean and it included all the services listed in the description. It is pet friendly and we were able to bring our cats with us. They loved it as well, chasing birds and playing in the trees. The place also has public pools that are very clean with clear water. Joe was very friendly and always willing to help. I highly recommend this place if you want to spend some time relaxing and in contact with nature.

We had a wonderful stay at Victoria's cabin. We loved everything about it. Sonoma Raceway was an easy 10-minute drive away, and the view was beautiful. I wish we had more time to spend at this unique cabin, we would definitely stay here again.

Cute and cozy cabin by the waters. We visited the Point Reyes, lighthouse and the beaches. Pristine and calm location. The cabin was very clean and both the beds was extremely comfortable. Kitchen also well equipped to cook small meals and enjoy your coffee. Overall very well decorated and maintained cozy home 🏠

Thoughtfully minimalist, spacious and airy. Skylights are gorgeous. Hot tub is a fabulous addition. Clean and well equipped kitchen. Street is very quiet. Only minutes from Occidental. Highly recommended.

The cabin was so lovely and cozy! The wood stove/fireplace was truly amazing, the cabin was so warm and toasty throughout the night. Laurie, Greg and Skip are all so great and accommodating. The bathrooms were always so clean, with hot water showers. The location is amazing, everything is close by: gorgeous hikes at Hendy Woods State Park, and near some amazing wineries for wine tasting. We absolutely loved our time here!

Jill & Liam are the best hosts you can possibly ask for - we had a last minute, late night check-in and Jill very kindly readied everything for us. The cabin is adorable, romantic, and private. You'll be extremely well equipped with anything you could possibly need - very comfortable bed, kitchenette with essentials clean, modern bathroom, and adjustable heating and cooling. The outdoor deck, fire pit, and string lights were such a joy to experience in the evening, while the picnic table is perfectly placed to take in the incredible view during the day and at sunset. Extremely easy to access from Healdsburg and local vineyards. Can't recommend this cabin and Jill & Liam enough. Would give them ten stars if we could!

A wonderful stay at Pam and Libby’s cabin! Easy check in/out instructions. Rustic home with modern and luxury furnishings and toilettries. Very tidy and clean. Fully stocked kitchen, noting that it is a second home and the pantry may feel lived in. The beds and all the bedding and blankets were so comfortable, making for a cozy and sleepy rained in weekend. Many places to sit and gather outside, I imagine it is perfect in warmer weather. The decor is well curated and tasteful, they designed it wonderfully. As noted in their post, there are a few flights of stairs to traverse, so make sure you and your mates are comfortable with this. The drive in is not so bad! Just drive slowly :)

I was extremely pleased with my stay at Noelle's. Everything was in perfect condition and as described. They went above-and-beyond expectations with thoughtful and helpful touches, such as providing a pitcher of filtered water, a small fan by the bed, and a flashlight. Also, they very kindly turned on the heat to ensure that it was warm for me upon arrival. I will definitely look to stay with them again if I am in need of accommodations in the area again in the future.

Wonderful little cabin in the woods! We got to enjoy both sun and fog and both were beautiful in their own ways. We will be back for sure.

Arriving late at night after a last minute booking was a challenge on dirt roads with a 2 wheel drive but the instructions were clear and worth the experience of staying in an enchantingly serene cabin/hut. This little hut located on McNab ranch, the backroads of Ukiah county, was perfectly constructed to meet ones needs: outside kitchen counter, sink, and shower, little bed and cot, a writing desk and shelves for towels and lanterns. It’s the kind of place one would use to get away to, to finish a book or do deep meditation at. The hut doesn’t have a bathroom, so be aware that you have to dispose of the bucket in the compost bin, but to anyone who’s ever roughed it or owned a dog, this isn’t even a setback. In the morning, I was awoken by a squirrel hiding its nuts on the roof, seller’s jays and quail. Shar and Lea are both kindred souls, two fairies that maintain the harmony on their sacred land..
