We are so happy that we found Mosaic’s place! It’s in a great location that feels private and away from the bustle of Kathmandu, but is also super walkable. The house is beautiful, and being on the third floor felt secluded from the common areas. Mosaic is a wonderful and friendly host. She had lots of recommendations and advice for us, and was super flexible!

Hello This is Md Saidul i went from canada I lived there 1 week. it was two bedrooms apartment with two washroom and kitchen. this place is very nice. lots of groceries are available there. this area also be quiet Sabin and his wife are so friendly they are help me a lot about any issues Thanks

I had a wonderful and peaceful stay at this place. It is far from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it perfect for relaxation. The stay was very affordable, yet the hospitality was exceptional. Ram was extremely helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. He and his wife prepared a delightful meal for us, which added to the warmth of the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable getaway!

Father, mother and daughter (Shyam, Bishnu and Shilpa) live in this well cared for home. Both parents have a good knowledge of English and the daughter is almost fluent. They are very hospitable and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and well fed. The ensuite bathroom provides you with your own privacy but you are welcome to join the family in their living room. They have lived locally for many years and know everyone around and can provide any directions you require. The family is keen to assist you in any way possible. The wifi is a good speed and is reliable. I recommend this place for singles and couples, and even small families. It is suitable for both short and long stays.

We had an amazing time at Babu's and Belku's homestay. They welcomed us as part of their family from the first day, offering help and advice with any issues we encountered, organizing trekking (day and week-long), and taking us with them for local festivities. They had great internet, video calls worked very well. The rooms had great views across the mountains next door or the green hill sides of Kirtipur and were exceptionally clean. We spent a lot of time reading and relaxing on one of the balconies or the big sun terrace. Before our trip we were hesitant whether staying with a local family would be too intense but we are so glad we decided to do so. You are free to move in the homestay as if it was your home, engaging with the family as much or as little as you want, but trust us you will look very much forward to participating in the family life, learning how to cook as amazingly as Belku does, learning Nepali with Babu, or just talking about everyday life with them. This is our second time in Nepal and only now we feel like we have experienced it for real. The deep insights into Nepali culture, cuisine, and daily life we got in this homestay you cannot get when staying in Thamel. You can visit Kathmandu with a short taxi ride but we were always glad to escape the busy city to the relaxing green rice fields of Kirtipur. It is not overstated to say our stay was a lifetime experience. We greatly recommend to stay with Babu, Belkin, and Aayush.

最高のネパールの田舎体験でした！ I was tired of city life, and this stay was a refreshing change. Unlike tourist areas, I experienced real Nepalese life—attending a local wedding, milking a cow, and enjoying homemade meals like delicious dal bhat prepared by my host’s wife. I truly felt welcomed as family, not just a guest, which aligns with their motto: "come as a tourist and go as a family member." They picked me up from the bus stop in Kalikasthan, greeted me with a welcome cloth (kada), and cared for me throughout my stay. I was even given a traditional Nepali prayer for safe travels when I left. [Transportation (as of April 2025)] Buses from Kathmandu go to Kalikasthan (most frequent) or directly to Karmidanda (once daily at 11:30 a.m). Tickets cost around 500 rupees one way and can be bought at Machha Pokhari by telling the shopkeeper(at the corner) your destination. If stopping at Kalikasthan, you can walk or meet your host if they're available. I’d love to return for trekking next time.

Rukum Dai and his family were extremely welcoming and kind to us. Having young children whilst traveling can be difficult at times but they accommodated our every need. Very warm and friendly family and their nightly Thakali dinner was so delicious. Definitely recommend this homestay
