We really enjoyed our stay. The property is finished to a high spec and in a great area. there are plenty of dog friendly places to eat and drink within easy walking distance and we found the locals to all be very friendly and chatty.. our big dog is like a celebrity wherever we take him so that's always a conversation starter! For other dog owners - the yard is VERY secure and you can enjoy the sauna and hot tub without worrying about them. There are light coloured carpets in some rooms downstairs but I had read that on previous reviews so bought many blankets and towels to cover the floor where the dogs would walk and lie.our dogs wouldn't go to the toilet on the yard and the grassy area isn't enclosed from the owners area so we made sure we had them on a lead. Not really an issue but I didn't realise the garden wouldn't be enclosed..only mentioning it to help others. We didn't get to meet Scott but when I had a question he was always super quick in replying .will definitely be back

The Old Barn is spacious and comfortable - just watch for some low hanging lights if you are tall! The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking. The hot tub is great and the whole place is private. There is a narrow, steep track to get down to the lodges, but the roads and parking on the site itself are good.

We had a fab 2 night stay at Scarlett’s place! The cottage itself was lovely and cosy , had everything we needed and was clean! The bed was extremely comfortable! The hot tub was great it was really nice to enjoy our anniversary weekend away! We were able to order a take away through just eat on our first night and then ate food at the travellers rest on the Sunday and Arthur’s for breakfast today! Scarlett was a great host and even messaged early to say we could check in! Will definitely return 😊

Could not recommend this airbnb enough! The cottage is so beautifully designed and homely, with beautiful views and villages a short drive away and a local pub in walking distance. The hosts are so accommodating, and couldn’t do enough to make you feel welcome! Really is the real life cottage from the film ‘The Holiday’ - but even better!

Clean comfortable and homely. Had the dog and two young children with us yet didn't feel on edge as house uncluttered. We all enjoyed time in the hot tub and games in the safe garden.

We had a great time as a family of four. The hot tub was amazing with incredible views. Communication was great and the host replied promptly. Would stay again!

Absolutely loved this place! The house was amazing - beautifully decorated, perfectly equipped, and the setting was breath-taking. Our host was super responsive and helpful, made the whole stay stress-free. Only 'complaint' is that we didn't want to leave! Would highly recommend and can't wait to come back.

Beautiful little cottage - perfect place to stay for an adventure in the Peak District! Also great for dogs with baby gates installed to keep them downstairs, it’s lovely to have these things already in place!

Helen was on hand (or at the end of an email) with helpful advice and suggestions from the minute we booked until the time we checked out. Great location just 5 mins walk to the town centre and a great selection of pubs and restaurants, but away from the crowds so very peaceful. They obviously have an eye for interior design as every detail was perfect. The extra touches were amazing (sachets of lovely face cream, home made granola (honestly the best I’ve ever eaten), delicious macarons, fresh organic milk, a bottle of wine, fresh baked bread, Easter chocolates around the place …… the list goes on). I honestly can’t think of a single thing that would have improved our stay. Impeccable.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Allie’s cosy cottage in such a beautiful spot in the peaks! The property was exactly as described - clean, comfortable, and full of charm, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The view from the kitchen was stunning... and a real bonus was getting to say hi to the lambs on the farm, which made the experience even more special. It is the perfect base for some beautiful hikes in the Peak District, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a countryside escape. Thank you, Allie! - Jeremy and Amelia

Chimney Cottage was everything we expected and more. A gorgeous cottage in a quiet village with fabulous walks and scenery. The cottage was clean, cosy and very homely. We loved the log fire in the evening and the shower was fantastic! Would definitely recommend.

An amazing property, best I’ve booked on Airbnb. Beautifully presented, extremely clean and very well stocked. You can tell the love and care that has gone into creating this rental and Julie clearly has very good taste. Everything you could possibly need - Julie has included it and she’s gone the extra mile with lovely extra touches. The cottage is well located right in the heart of Tideswell with walks and restaurants on your doorstep. If you have a dog, the boot room outside is fantastic with its warm shower and Julie even supplies dog towels and shampoo. I cannot recommend this property enough and we’ll most certainly be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Crooked Nook. The garden is a perfect sun trap for enjoying a beer or making friends with the sheep neighbours. The cottage is cosy and beautifully decorated, with everything you could need. The map bedroom was a particular favourite! Tracy was a wonderful and thoughtful host and the location was idyllic.

Another lovely stay at Tracey’s place ❤️ This is our 4th year coming x As soon as we walk in the door the cottage gives you a big welcoming hug , Tracey goes the extra mile with a warm welcoming personal card a basket of goodies and beer and milk in the fridge along with tea coffee etc etc x you can just walk in and sit down enjoy that incredible view with a brew or beer , even Otis ( our Frenchie ) is so relaxed here , the neighbours are so friendly and have a warm smile and chat , I cannot recommend this place enough we absolutely love coming ❤️ Tracey is a great host and has a beautiful little gem in the heart of Yorkshire I am so happy we found this place Thank you Tracey Lots of love Tracey Wayne and Otis ❤️🐾❤️

We loved our stay at Brosterfield Cottage and wish we’d have stayed longer! The location was stunning, close to lots of great walks, it was easy to find, plenty of parking space (we had two cars), and we were happily left to our own devices. There’s a lovely pub just a 15min walk away and the cottage itself was beautiful, clean, very comfy bed and it had everything we needed. I’d definitely recommended and we’re already looking forward to visiting again. Thanks Penny!

Hi Jane We had a lovely short stay in The Dairy. We were so lucky with the weather! It was lovely having breakfast outside! The place was small but had all the things we needed. It was spotlessly clean. Only thing- we tried to use the oven but couldn’t seem to turn it on. However we used microwave instead! Thank you. Carol

as I used to live next street to Julie's house, i would not hesitate to use here wonderful facilities again, when coming down from Scotland. and would recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit the area. thank you julie,will definitely use again for an all round fantastic stay. yours sincerely MR.
