Charming cottage from which to explore this beautiful area. 250m from the World heritage site of Studley Royal Deer Park and Fountains Abbey. Between the Yorkshire Dales , the many historic sites and houses there is plenty to explore.The cathedral city of Ripon is 1and a 1/2 miles away, and can be accessed by public footpath.The area is hugely popular with both walkers and cyclists being on the Ripon Rowell . The Apple Shed is a luxury stay in the heart of North Yorkshire, easy driving distance to Ripon, Thirsk, Harrogate & York. We’ve recently (2021) renovated an apple store and stable in our garden into a beautiful space. You can spot the restored apple picking ladders and exposed bricks from the original building. Located in the heart of Dishforth Village it’s walking distance a village drinking pub and a five minute drive to the award winning Crab & Lobster restaurant and The Angel at Topcliffe.

Boroughbridge is a pretty, small historic market town with independent shops and cafes. With lovely walks along the river and canal. Brook House Cottage is located adjacent to the village cricket pitch and within walking distance of the village of Markington with views of the countryside. Nicely presented open plan, self contained cottage with oak beams set in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. A perfect place for relaxation and ideal for your staycation. The Old Telephone Exchange - surrounded by fields!

The original Telephone Exchange is located in the picturesque village of Bishop Monkton. Now converted to a cosy holiday cottage situated between Harrogate and the cathedral city of Ripon. Nearby is Fountains Abbey, Lightwater Valley and Newby Hall. Blessed with open fields on 3 sides, which includes a lovely spot to sit outside and unwind or watch the sunsets. When you are ready, there is a wood burner inside. The inside is open plan and surprisingly spacious with a well equipped kitchen

Cottage with beautiful views

We look forward to welcoming you to our renovated Cow Byre just a short drive from Ripon. Separate to our main home, and having wonderful views, guests can visit nearby Fountains abbey, Brimham rocks, Grassington and lots of other lovely places of interest, as well as nearby walks. We have used high quality fittings throughout from Loaf seating, beautiful light fittings, Sophie Conran crockery, SMEG kettle and toaster, as well as featuring art by a local artist David Stead.

Old Bakery

Cozy, quaint cottage in the heart of the beautiful market town of Knaresborough. In easy reach of the train station and all attractions. Equipped with a wood burning stove. Old Bakery has an open Iron spiral stair to the first and second floors and is not suitable for small children or people with mobility problems, The stair climbs from the lounge through bedroom 1 to bedroom 2. There are no doors from the staircase. There is a well equipped kitchen with a dining table.

Couples Retreat in Sawley, nr Fountains Abbey

Thompson's cottage is located in the garden of our family home, with parking in front of the village hall, (next door) The cottage is a cosy space with a modern feel, comprising of one main living area with a king size bed, seating for 2, a small but well equipped kitchen and a pull out table, a modern stylish bathroom with large shower. Sawley is quiet village, within the Nidderdale AONB, and is a great central location for exploring the area, on bike, foot or by car.

The End Place is a self-contained cottage adjoining Moorhouse Cottage. Downstairs is open plan, comprising a fully equipped kitchen and a living area with wood burning stove. A glass wall ensures uninterrupted views across Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as starry-night skyscapes. Upstairs opens out into a magical, fairy-lit, vaulted bedroom with a king size brass bed adorned with crisp linen and includes en suite with shower.
