It is situated in a quiet part of a unique village, which has a sea dock, adjacent to the Lune Estuary and canal basin on a branch arm of the Lancaster Canal. Ideal for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and anyone who likes all aspects of wildlife, boating and the sea. We are 5 m. south of the historically important University town of Lancaster. The village has a pub, village store and cafes.

We are close to the coast and the location is perfect for walkers, being tucked away on the Lancashire coastal way footpath. The Chicken Shed at Knowle Top was newly built in 2019 on the ruins of an old barn and decorated to the highest standards of industrial chic. Situated in a most unique location, high on the Ribble Valley side of Lancashire’s iconic Pendle Hill, it sits surrounded by sheep pastures where hare and fox come to say good-night. Despite this rural idyll, we’re only a five minute car drive from Clitheroe, one of the North-West’s nicest market towns. The views will take your breath away!
