The horses were absolutely adorable! Beautiful surroundings and comfortable home.

Nancy and Peter were warm and welcoming. We enjoyed hanging out with them and their animals as well as playing croquet. Lovely location. Would definitely return!

A long weekend getaway. Welcomed by fresh chicken eggs and local pastries, the photos and descriptions were on the mark. Nested against the Uwharrie River, beautiful woodland views and only sounds were birds calling and water rushing by.

We absolutely loved this place and our stay. Such a peaceful place plenty of space indoors and outdoors. Stocked with anything you may possibly need, felt right at home would stay again and would definitely recommend wish our stay would have been linger.

Amazing stay - we loved feeding the sheep and lambs in the morning. Very comfortable, incredibly peaceful atmosphere. Ms. Lucy was kind enough to show us around the property and introduce us to all the animals. My girls are 3 and 5 and this stay was a core memory. We loved meeting the Great Pyrenees, peacocks, chicks and more!

I spent two full days here with my mom and my two-year old daughter. The little farmhouse was well-appointed and there were many charming little touches that made us feel at home. My daughter and I enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching flocks of birds descend on the tall trees surrounding the property. Also, there is family graveyard in full view of the front porch and I liked the feeling of being connected to the history of the farmland. I think another review mentioned seeing chickens, but I took my daughter on a little walk and we didn't see any chickens or any other farm animals. We did hear some chickens (and maybe a goose?) near the trailer on the other side of the graveyard and we did see a small dog who came up to our porch and barked at us (I think the small dog belonged to the people who live in the trailer on the other side of the graveyard); that scared my daughter a little bit, but after that first day the little dog didn't come back.

Vickee went out of her way to make us feel welcome and at home. She was so thoughtful about so many details - from a variety of breakfasts to snacks to responding so nicely and providing epsom salts to soak in after a long day at Market! Loved the cozy robes and Elle Decor magazines she left for us. The property grounds are beautiful! Thankfully the property is within the 6 mile radius for the Go Anywhere Market shuttle! Easy peasy! Highly recommend for a group during Market!

I enjoyed my stay immensely! The no TV, no internet, technology free weekend was a great get-away for this workaholic! The screened in porch was my favorite place to lounge around. The mile long path around the pond was pleasant as was the fresh fruit available on Tom’s fruit trees. The birds, butterflies, herons, and rabbits added to the experience I was looking for. There is nothing more relaxing than watching nature in action. Rain or shine the cabin, the screened porch, and the walking path provided a serene get-a-way. It rained each day I was there and sitting on the screened porch watching the storm was fascinating (and I stay dried). The outdoor shower on the screened porch was an amazing experience!! Everyone needs to try one. Wow! The interior of the cabin is truly rustic and made of wood which added to the whole “nature” experience I was looking for. Tom was a wonderful host! I spent some time talking with him. He shared fascinating stories about the cabin and farm!

The place has personal touch to it. There is an authentic style in every detail. When we got to the house, it was already warmed up for us. Fully furnished coffee station. There was a lot of space in the backyard for our dog to run around. Overall, I was very impressed, photos don't give the full credit for what you get. Plenty of room for a pet and kids in the house. So far, my favorite Air BnB place by far.

Very peaceful and relaxing clean and comfortable and only 30 minutes to beach really enjoyed the stay.

Nice quiet get away from Fayetteville/Bragg. Wish we would have booked another night it was so nice! Hope we can make it back some day

We had an incredible stay! The hosts were beyond kind and made us feel right at home. The house was absolutely adorable, cozy, and well-equipped. Our toddler loved the friendly farm animals, especially the cows and horses with the stunning view from the property. The hosts were so thoughtful, letting her interact with the animals and making her feel special. It was the perfect family getaway, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

Harper (Co Host) was very responsive. The location was great to access trails on horseback. Very welcoming!

This was not my first stay at the Scout House, and it will not be my last. Everything about it is perfection - from the location, to the property, to the sensational hosts (Marie & BJ). My stay was delightful in every way and I cannot wait to return!

We were in the area for a volleyball tournament and the house was just what we needed to come to after a long day. It was extremely clean and peaceful. She was very responsive to my asking a question (the horses names) and also was willing to give us any recommendations we needed.

This is a beautiful place of peace and calm. We really enjoyed the cabin, it was very comfortable , If you are looking for a place to rest from stress, if you want to connect with nature, this is the perfect place. The cabin is equipped with everything, it exceeded our expectations, it’s so lovely, also we enjoyed all the space around the cabin, this area is so gorgeous, excellent for breathing fresh air, amazing, a place surrounded by beautiful nature, we took the opportunity to go for a walk in the mornings. The hospitality of Clayton and Beth was great, they took care of every detail of our stay, they were very attentive , if we needed something , they were always there, so they were really friendly. We felt there right at home. We recommend this place 💯, for sure, you will enjoy it. Ramon y Fernandah

We were traveling long distance with a small dog and wanted to give him a nice place to run around after the long car ride. This place was perfect and the owners are obviously animal lovers as evidenced by treats and food for animals in the kitchen and a very nice fenced area with a doggy care section stocked with bags and a disposal container along with pick up tools. The setting is so peaceful and rustic and it provided us with a very restful night’s sleep so we were able to tackle another long day of driving. The host, Lorraine, was wonderful to deal with very responsive. If we travel through this area again we will surely book this property again.

My family had a wonderful time at Rebecca's. Her place was neat and thoughtfully prepared with snacks, drinks, colored pencils and paper, board games, etc. Our kids also had a memorable experience running around in the backyard, meeting the chickens, dogs and cats, and watching so many different birds. We hope to stay here again when we're back in the triangle area!
