we loved it. here you really get down to gear, we enjoyed the view and the surroundings. fantastic nature wherever you look. the hosts were super friendly and helpful. we stayed two nights but would definitely recommend more nights so that you can really get all the impressions.

Absolutely loved it. Earthy and private and loved every second, wanted to stay longer. Hot tub was amazing. Takes a while to heat up but is fun to test the temperature and still warm in the morning if u play it right. Pool is fantastic. Nothing to complain about.

What a beautiful place to stay. The cottage was tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you would need. A wonderful splash pool and an awesome hot tub as well. A little paradise! The toiletries were a lovely touch and all the extras provided. Communication with the host was excellent and she gave us lots of local tips and suggestions.

A beautifully peaceful spot to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks on the farm, and stargazing from the hot tub. The accommodation was clean and cozy. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the bathroom was neat with a large shower.

Came here last year as I grew up in the hermitage and brought my Thai fiance and she just fell in love with the place. The animals, nature, mountains and friendly people. Love it here and came back longer this time and will be back every year.

We had a lovely stay in a beautiful spot. We had our two small dogs with us, so we couldn't enjoy the full hikes, but we enjoyed parts of the routes and did some birding. Our dogs also made fast friends with the sweetest resident dog, Annie, who visited often. The hosts were very responsive, and we enjoyed learning more about their farm and setup.

Merveilleux endroit. Nous avons séjourné qu'une nuit mais on aurait aimé rester plus longtemps. La sérénité du lieu et la proximité avec la nature et les animaux est formidable. Nous avons très bien dormi. Cuisine fonctionnelle avec tout ce qu'il faut. Nous avons eu la chance de voir des springbok et des gnous au petit matin. Merci pour cette magnifique expérience !

This is already our fourth time staying in Rigby's beautiful house. It is wonderfully located on the golf course, offering a peaceful atmosphere. It's a great starting point for many activities. Rigby and Jean-André are always easily reachable. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Great place to unwind. Comfortable living area for socializing. Nice hiking in the area. Wonderful sunsets in the valley. Pool is a bit small and doors are not well secured for windy days.

Estelle’s place is a little slice of farm heaven. Magical for a family getaway. Beautiful gardens, and friendly service, and lots of farm animal interactions made for a peaceful and fun loving family holiday. This is a place for those looking to escape to wide open spaces, and switch off. While still being close enough to the little town of Greyton to enjoy some low key shopping, and characterful restaurants.

Ein wunderschönes Haus! Wir verbrachten hier 3 Tage als Familie (5 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) und wären gerne länger geblieben. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet, die Küche perfekt mit allen möglichen Utensilien und auch mit Kaffee, Gewürzen etc. und der Pool mit Tüchern. Wir haben nichts vermisst und die Ruhe im wunderschönen Garten sehr genossen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Eine schöne, süße Unterkunft. Für uns als kleine Familie (mit einer 4-Jährigen Tochter) reichte das vollkommen aus. Der kleine „Erfrischungs-Pool“ war für uns perfekt. Wenn man richtig kochen möchte, erscheint uns die Küche und die Möglichkeiten recht klein - aber man kann zu Fuß oder mit dem Auto (2min) zu einem tollen Restaurant (Deux Lions) kommen, in dem es von Fr-So ein tolles Frühstück gibt. Und sowieso die anderen Restaurants in der Stadt sind großartig und nicht weit entfernt.

The Pines is a wonderful venue for a breakaway with a group of friends or family. The old farm-style homestead is in impeccable condition, with the trappings you expect from a much more modern house. Everything was spotless, from the bedroom linens and towels, to the well equipped kitchen, and the outside area. The weather was fantastic, so most time was spent in and around the pool, on the tennis court, and in the cool quiet of the house. Do: 1. spend an early morning with fresh coffee on the stoep, waiting for the sun to start painting the glorious mountains right in front of you; 2. make communal meals and eat under the ancient trees in the afternoon and at the huge dining room table in the evenings, where our stories mingled with those that had come before us; 3. bring your - well behaved - furry friends, they will get as much from the large expanse of lawn and, since the property is fully fenced, the can explore as much as they want to; and 4. braai next to the pool. Enjoy!

A beautiful house, a mixture of old and new in a magnificent setting. If you like wrap around stoeps and views and plenty of room to spend time with family and friends, then its perfect!! Many thanks.

We had a lovely, peaceful and restful stay. It was quiet, beautiful views and scenery. The cottage was very well equipped, clean snd super cosy. We slept well too. We loved the comfy dining chairs the most, could sit and read in them all day, with that stunning view infront on you. We'd recommended to anyone looking to escape a busy life for a few days.

Absolutely beautiful property; if anything the pictures cannot do justice to the panorama of the lake and surrounding hills. We were lucky with the weather and the place has everything that you need! Tim was also and hand to help out with the hot tub etc. Simply superb!

Beautiful garden & peaceful home, with loads of space & cosy

We very much enjoyed Patsy’s place during our family stay in Somerset West, it was a home away from home for our family during our recent visit to the Western Cape. A charming house providing more than enough room for all 5 of us (incl. 3 adult children); with comfortable beds, a roomy living area and kitchen inside, and the lapa & swimming pool outside (where we spent a lot of time during the hot days!); nice and quiet location, no through traffic; a lovely garden surrounds the house. Patsy was very responsive to all of our queries and questions, and made sure that we were OK. We also met up with Bridget & Obert, 2 lovely people who also added to the welcoming feel. We will certainly consider this as a future holiday address … 😊

A lovely space in a perfect location. Riana welcomed us and was great throughout our stay. Really responsive and helpful. The apartment is well laid out and comfortable and the communal area with the pool is fantastic. So many lovely restaurants within a short walk of the apartment. We recommend a visit to Franschhoek and Le Petit Bijou apartments. Thanks for a great stay.
