Plenty to see and do locally, a firm favourite is our local forest walk, why not join in in the park run which takes place every Saturday morning.

Carraigin Castle

13th Century Lakeside Castle, 6 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 10-12) Surrounded by seven acres of lawns, park and woodland, Carraigin Castle is an idyllic holiday home in a beautiful setting on the shores of Lough Corrib. From the Castle one can enjoy boating and fishing, walking, riding and sightseeing, or just relax by the open hearth and contemplate the simple grandeur of this ancient dwelling, a rare and beautiful example of a fortified, medieval “hall house”.

Ballindooley Castle

The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels

The Granary - with alpacas!

As the name suggests, this property is a converted granary which is located on our farm. Escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a farm stay. We have sheep, horses, hens, two dogs, a pig, two alpacas and two cats which can be seen on Quarryfield Farm Experience's social media pages. Less than 2km from the village of Bunninadden. 8km from Tubbercurry where the hit TV series Normal People was filmed!

The Barn

Converted stone barn in organic forest. Built in 1917 by a local stone mason, this barn provided shelter for cows and a horse, and animal feed was stored there. Lovingly modified by owners in 2022 into a comfortable home with modern conveniences.
