The staff at Casa de Lis were all wonderful and definitely made my stay! The room itself is very basic but as advertised. I don’t think there is air conditioning which was ok for the time I was there but I could see it getting very hot. They have a lovely upper terrace and backyard which are great for relaxing. Kitchen is also fine, no frills but does the trick! There is private parking which was great. The free breakfast is at this really cute restaurant/bakery about a 5 minute walk and was one of the highlights of the stay! The hotel itself is very walkable within Turrialba, though from my experience there wasn’t a whole lot to the town. Would recommend arranging some of the excursions they recommend (or arrange independently) at least a day or 2 in advance as it was a bit harder than I thought to just make plans last minute. Thanks Casa de Lis for a great stay!

Sehr nettes Hotel mitten in Turrialba mit Dachterrasse (für Raucher), kleinem Garten und kostenlosem Kaffee/ Tee. Frühstück war sehr gut (im nahegelegenen Cafe Santo Pan). Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

For me, I was grateful; the other Airbnb I had reserved ended up having the wrong location published, so I had to book this last minute, around 8pm. I was just there for a night, but the place had a cool, very old Victorian house-style vibe. Creaky old wood floors and really tall ceilings. My room was crazy large, but it was also a handicapped room, which should be plenty large. PARKING: So they do have their own parking lot attached to the hotel, but if you arrive at night, it is locked down. So you have to go to the front desk and they have a clicker to open it. So if you park at the hotel entrance, which is on a one-way street and not really a pull-over spot but not busy so if it's late a quick stop is probably fine (cars can get around you), the garage is at least 4 car lengths before the hotel, so be smarter than me so you don't have to go around or reverse down a one-way to get in the garage. Props to the front desk agent, responsive and friendly!!

Silvia fue siempre muy atenta, tuvimos un percance en la aerolínea y fue muy comprensiva y se pudo arreglar la situación del hospedaje. El personal muy atento y amable, la comida del restaurante muy deliciosa. Excelentes anfitriones que demuestran la calidez y amabilidad que caracteriza a Costa Rica. El hotel está muy céntrico y cercano a la zona de museos que son de lo mejor, a dos calles del mercado de artesanías donde pueden encontrar souvenirs a precios justos. Muy agradecidas por sus atenciones

Karim was quick to respond to my last minute, late evening, request. He met me at the location and the check-in was a breeze. Karim was very friendly and his Airbnb was perfect for what I needed. Great location, close to many restaurants, very safe and walkable. Definitely will book again when in the area.

Sehr schönes Hotelgelände mit tollem Pool und Whirlpool, saubere und große Zimmer, Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Gutes Frühstück. Einzige Kritik: die Lage, durch die wir uns mit Einbruch der Dämmerung nicht sehr sicher gefühlt haben.

We were happy to find a place in the middle of Turrialba where we could explore by foot. Our room was quite nice, with a balcony and view of their back garden. The bed was excellent, the shower hot and with good pressure. The room was quiet and had great light through big windows. We didn't use the kitchen, but other guests were busy cooking up delicious smelling meals, and it looked like a great space to work and make new acquaintances. We enjoyed hanging our on the roof terrace - with it's great views of the surrounding mountains, and the veranda in the back of the hotel - overlooking the garden. The staff was super friendly, helpful and responsive. We were happy to have a parking space, but larger vehicles might have a tough time fitting in. This is a good place to stay - we will return happily.
