The Gator Getaway is the perfect escape from reality located in the swampy town of Manchac, Louisiana. It is the ideal place for a stay near the water with no boat required! The historic building was the original Church of Manchac and was remodeled into a home. Located within walking distance to the famous Middendorf's Restaurant! Also nearby is the public boat launch, Sun Buns river bar boat taxi, and other local favorite spots! Located about 40 miles outside of New Orleans.

Smoke-friendly outdoors only! Smoking indoors prohibited. Maximum 2 pets. Cat-friendly! No unreported guests.

Our quaint yellow cottage sits on a quiet street where you have plenty of space to hear the cicadas and breathe in the Louisiana air. We're situated directly on the Amite River and this cottage is perfect for anyone who loves to fish! We provide a place to dock your boat, and can even recommend the best routes along the river that we often take ourselves. Please note that we do not allow pets at the cottage so get your fur babies a sitter and come on down.

This home is a quaint, waterfront oasis, with space to enjoy friends and family inside or outside. It is just minutes by foot, car and/or boat to restaurants, bars and many water events. With prior notification to host you may have full access to onsite boat slip. Depending on size of boats slip can host up to 2 boats at one time. Come and see why this is OUR happy place, and it could quickly become your happy place.

This location is generally fairly quiet. However, there are events at times throughout the year that bring more live music and foot traffic than usual. Welcome to "Bitsy," an itsy-bitsy cabin located in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. She is a 72 square foot one room tiny cabin that contains all the comforts one would expect for a great night's stay. For two guests, you'll find the coziest queen bed and a rain shower in a rustic tub. Our quaint little nature cranny is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee.
