Enjoy postcard-worthy ocean views at Villa Vieux Caribe. Set on lush grounds on the southern coast of Providenciales, the seven-bedroom stone villa has traditional stone architecture and panoramic views of Chalk Sound National Park and Caicos Banks. Snorkel just off the property’s beach in calm Taylor Bay, sunbathe on one of several decks, and retreat to private, hotel-like accommodations in the evening. The heart of the villa is its outdoor spaces, which range from a large deck to a terrace around the private pool. Steps lead from the house down to the beach, where you’ll find two private docks and two kayaks. The pool terrace even has a barbecue, wet bar and dining area, so you can enjoy the sunset over a drink and dine al-fresco. Relax in the hammock, or escape the heat thanks to the house’s ceiling fans and air conditioning. For your convenience, Wi-Fi access is available, too. Inside, Villa Vieux Caribe is light and airy, with fresh, neutral decor and high ceilings that let in the trade winds. The living room is calm, comfortable and traditional, with tile floors, cream-colored walls, dark wood and linen-toned upholstery. The kitchen has classic white beadboard cabinets and is open to the dining area, where you’ll find rustic woven rush chairs and antique pottery accents. Each of the villa’s seven bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, television and safe. There are five bedrooms with king beds, and two bedrooms with two queen beds each. Two of the suites are located on a lower level and have their own private entrance, sitting room with kitchenette and deck; one of these suites is wheelchair-accessible. Swimming, snorkeling and boating are just steps away from Villa Vieux Caribe on Taylor Bay. There’s also a beach just a 2-minute walk away. Nestled on the slender Silly Creek peninsula along the southwest coast of Providenciales, this modern yet classic Caribbean home surveys panoramic ocean vistas on every level—from its lofty observation tower, to its broad veranda, to its private beach cove. Extending from the house, the wraparound veranda provides cool shelter and a sweeping vantage for afternoon downtime, cocktail hour, and delicious feasts in the ocean breeze. A wooden staircase descends from the house to a lower deck poised above the lapping waves. From here, a stepping-stone paths leads to the small beach below, where you can push off into the luminous water. Multiple sets of glass doors open from the veranda to the great room, inhaling the sea-kissed air into the home. Flooded with daylight and evening tones, the open-concept space features an ample lounge, dining table, and wine fridge. The kitchen is set within an ample niche and features high-grade appliances. Another beautiful dining table is set within a semi-alfresco sunroom. Air conditioning keeps the atmosphere comfortable, and there is a home office for business travelers. There are 2 ocean-facing bedrooms on the garden level, both opening to sundecks and the water, while a third lower bedroom opens to the gardens. The upper-floor also includes an ocean-view bedroom, opening to a pergola-shaded balcony. All 4 bedrooms enjoy ensuite bathrooms and TVs. Start each day with breakfast at the covered outdoor dining area, then soak in the sunshine from the pool terrace or take the path down to the ocean for a swim. Inside, the villa has central air conditioning and other perks. Villa Sublime’s living spaces mix traditional Caribbean pieces with European touches for one-of-a-kind style. In the living room, white walls, slipcovered sofas and wicker armchairs feel cool and tropical, while a Persian-style rug, antique armoire, columns and wrought-iron accents add a sense of history. The dining room, which is open to the kitchen, has an elegant wrought-iron and glass table plus an ocean view, and the kitchen itself has fresh-feeling white cabinets and stone countertops. Each of the property’s three bedrooms has air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a television and a DVD player.
