Huisjes in Chesil Beach

I've never slept so well in a holiday home! The house, garden and hot tub were all well kept and clean, and we had everything we needed and more (suggestions on where to go/eat). The shower had great pressure, the underfloor heating was a real treat, and just a really lovely place and setting. Very private too. Would definitely recommend this lovely cottage to friends!

Fantastic place to stay! Our family loved every second and was even more wonderful than what we were expecting especially as this was booked for a surprise birthday weekend away. The hosts were helpful from the moment we booked our stay. We were given clear instructions on where to arrive and were greeted as soon as we pulled into the carpark. They explained all the necessary information and answered all of our questions and were very helpful. They were always available if we had any queries and gave plenty of local recommendations for food and activities. We would 100% recommend and would be more than happy to book again.

Lovely stay at The Nest. Great communication from the host, beautiful home and wonderful location for exactly what we needed. Our only point to note is that the cottage is not where it says on Google & Apple Maps and there is no phone signal in the area. This meant we had to ask people in the village for their help to find the correct location. Using ‘what3words’ or clear directions would maybe be helpful for future guests 😊 Overall a lovely stay and would recommend.

My friends and I had a great weekend stay at Vine Cottage. Communication with Gill and George was great and the one issue we had regarding the heating was sorted straight away. Vine Cottage is just as described and was lovely and clean on arrival and perfect for four friends to spend a weekend together.

We had a lovely Easter Weekend, with the house ticking all the boxes! It is fully equipped with everything you need and the best distance we’ve ever had to the local pub!! It was about a 25 minute drive to Lyme Regis and a great location for exploring the area! Alison’s communication was extremely quick throughout our stay and the check in was really clear and simple. Would definitely recommend a stay here ☺️

We loved this cottage. It was close to the centre but it’s position made it feel tucked away from the main village. We loved the views and the feeling of spaciousness that looking down across the village gave us. We loved the cosy living room and the log burning effect gas fire was very realistic. The larder was very convenient for extra storage as we cooked every evening we stayed. We hope to come and stay again.

We had a nice relaxing break. It was a lovely cottage with beautiful surroundings. Sally was available for us when we needed anything. The directions she gave made it very easy to find. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

This cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Kristina's directions were easy to follow, including any information within the cottage. The peaceful setting made for a relaxing break.

The address says Jackdaw but it's number 3!! Should have Jackdaw on the front door or just change the listing to number 3!! Other than that, it was a pleasant stay once the boiler was turned on......

Julie's place was a fantastic place to stay during our time in Portland. The place was spotless, smelt nice and had all the amenities and items you might need for your stay. Locally, the walks are absolutely breathtaking! Some of the best views I have seen anywhere! There are a few food shops and takeaways locally, all fairly priced and good food. We will definitely return!

Rowan Barn's open plan design worked very well as a welcoming space for three adults. It is set in beautiful countryside and in an excellent location for exploring this part of the Dorset coast. The cottage had everything we needed, including good access and easy parking. We have stayed in several different cottages in the area. This is the one we hope to return to. Thank you, Debra.

We had such a great time at Caroline’s cottage, the location is stunning and the cottage felt immediately like home. Caroline has thought of everything and it’s the little touches which really made our stay, fresh local milk in the fridge, lovely soaps, shower gels etc. Extra rugs and a spare lead for our dog, and even a bat detector which our son really enjoyed. Overall a fab experience, we’ll definitely be coming back

Really lovely place to stay. Very friendly and welcoming. Well setup in cabin and good selection of dvds for wet weather. 4G was fine for us.

Thornhills Cottage was a delight, the instructions provided by Karyn were very informative with everything we needed to know about our stay prior to arriving. The self check in was an easy process. The hot tub is £30.00 per stay which we found very reasonably priced. However, we did find that the hot tub lacked privacy as easily visible from main road/cars passing by. The facilities were great. The location was easy to get to main supermarkets and local takeaways by car. Clark’s Village is a bonus with it being within 15 minutes distance. Parking is right outside the property which provides great accessibility as well as security for your vehicle. Heating was easy to use, very cosy cottage and felt at home there. Great sunset views too I must add. Kitchen had all necessary cooking equipment but please note, there is no freezer at this property. Fast WiFi with a smart TV which came in handy. Plenty of storage(i.e, wardrobe, chest of drawers etc) if staying long term. Thank you both.

A really cosy and comfortable cottage in a beautiful location in east Devon. Was very simple to get to Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton, and there was also lovely areas to walk arouns right by the cottage. Cottage nicely spacious and had everything we needed.

Lucy is a brilliant host, very responsive and friendly too. The cottage is in a great location and it's easy to get to the local shops and restaurants. Parking is easy and the cottage has everything you need and more. It's a lovely place to stay.

We had a lovely stay at Janet's. We went to visit family for a few days locally and booked last minute. Janet was very responsive, answered all questions and greeted us on arrival. Grandad's cottage is lovely, very well presented and was ideal for what we needed. It was great that we could take our dog. We didn't use the tennis courts or do any walking as we were very busy. The location is great and the parking is secure and spacious. Highly recommend Janet's place.

We had a really lovely stay at the cottage. Joanne was a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well-equipped. The setting is great and we really loved having the tea shop across the road! Joanne also kindly let our children use the play area of the campsite. Lots of great things to do nearby. Would definitely recommend!
