However, we have found evidence of it playing a role as the village bakery.

Merripit Cottage

A beautifully themed Cotswold cottage with a modern but classic country interior that subtly harks to the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. We offer one main bedroom for two, complete with a private ensuite shower room; and one junior bedroom with two single beds. There is a main bathroom accessible to both bedrooms. With records dating back many hundreds of years, this archetypal bolt hole was originally where the locals used to come to get their kettles mended, in fact today on the High Street you’ll see a huge wall mounted kettle outside the main house! Now, instead of mending kettles, you can walk in under a minute to view an art gallery, enjoy a meal, a coffee or be enjoying a bracing walk on the Cotswold Way. It is a gorgeous cottage in one of the most attractive and popular locations.
