Houten huisjes in Chiriquí

Super verblijf gehad bij Rio Verde. Het is een prachtige kamer en super schoon. De jacuzzi op het terras was heerlijk na de wandelingen die we hebben gemaakt. Echt een aanrader, wij vonden het mooier dan op de foto’s!

Beauty, Peace, and Quiet in a lush green and flowery environment. The sounds of the streams running beside the casas lull you every moment. We would stay there Should we visit Boquete again, we will stay there.

Excelente todo, muy céntrico de todo y fácil de ubicar. Las habitaciones limpias y las camas cómodas, en la cocina estaba todo al alcance, el único detalle fue que no se contaba con un escurridor al momento de fregar los trastes pero nada que no se pudiera solucionar. Maryan estuvo comunicada conmigo en todo momento. Sin duda volvería.

Absolutely magical stay at El Risco de Hugo! The cabin is stunning, cozy, spotless, and surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. Total peace and quiet, yet with all the comforts you could ask for. Huge shoutout to Jose, the host, who went above and beyond to make everything perfect. I felt right at home. Can’t wait to come back—100% recommend!

Encantados con la estadía en esta casa, el lugar hermoso y tranquilo con todas las comodidades y más, nos encanto que en la casa habían bicicletas para salir a andar por el pueblo…volveremos 100%

Itza y su papá fueron muy amigables antes y al recibirnos. Nos sentimos en casa, el lugar es precioso. Hace bastante frío pero ellos lograron hacerlo acogedor. Mi familia y yo lo disfrutamos y sin duda volveríamos. Las habitaciones, la cabaña todo muy bonito nos encantó.

If you are looking for a rustic and remote setting surrounded by cloud forest and fabulous birds, then this is the place for you. My adult son, husband and I spend two nights at the cabana. There is abundant space, the kitchen is very well equipped, and we had everything we needed. We brought all our own food (don't plan on going to the lodge to eat - it's a very long walk) and enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen. The best part was being in the middle of the cloud forest. There is another casita nearby, but no one was staying there. There are a couple of maintained trails near the cabana, and we enjoyed some hikes. We had rented a Tucson, but were glad to get a ride in and out in the lodge's Land Cruiser - it's a rough drive in. Common birds around the cabin included 4 hummingbird species, yellow-thighed finches, collared redstarts, blue gray thrushes, black-faced solitaires, & many more. Saw a puma track on a hike. A kinkajou visited at night and raided the hummingbird feeders.

My family of 4 stayed at Susam’s A frame while we were waiting to move into our new home. Susam was very Accommodating and responsive. We needed more towels and they were provided right away. I can’t say enough good things about our our stay. It was in a great , quiet location on the rio caldera. My kids even spent a day in the beautiful river. The house was Spotless and had coffee , cook top, plates, stove & and everything we needed during our stay. I highly recommend Susam’s place for anyone who wants to be close to town, yet in a quiet location, surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Hicimos un viaje familiar y el hospedaje es un loft con espacios abiertos, tiene una vista muy bonita y buena ubicación, super atento Santiago, estuvimos solo de tránsito en boquete y fue una excelente opción.

La atención de Anthony fue excelente, siempre pendiente de cualquier tema que tuviéramos. La casa muy cómoda y tal cual como se ven en las fotos. En futuras visitas no dudaremos en volver.

Private and cozy, the perfect mountain getaway

La cabaña es supremamente práctica para dormir, descansar, y gozar el entorno, incluído el Restaurante Granito de Oro que está de la ceja al ojo y atienden maravillosamente. No salimos del restaurante. Por lo demás, camas, sala, cocina y ubicación genial, pudimos dormir a gusto y descansar. Salvo por el viento en la noche que levantaba una hojas de zinc de alguna casa vecina, pero con el cansancio, me percataba de él cuando me iba a levantar. Todo muy bien.

Die Unterkunft ist wunderbar ursprünglich. Ein bisschen wie bei Oma zu Hause eingerichtet aber es passt gut zur Lage mitten in der Natur. Ein paar kleine Spinnen haben bei uns gewohnt. Das gehört dazu. Herausragend war es morgens. Direkt im Garten konnten wir Kolibris, verschiedenste andere Vögel und sogar Affen beobachten. Der Kontakt zu Evy Lany und Armando war hervorragend. Immer erreichbar und super freundlich und sympathisch. Wir waren nur eine Nacht da, wären dann aber gerne länger geblieben.

Nicolas and his family were great and helpful, and introduced us to some local foods. Our kids enjoyed playing with his daughter. We intend to go back next time we want to stay in the Volcan/Barú area. It was close to a Panadaria that people drive from Volcan (8 minutes) to get their baked goods from, we enjoyed breads & other baked goods as well as pepperoni pizza multiple times. Volcan is a short drive away. The Cerro Punta bus stop is close by and we used that to take the bus to David (and Panamá city), and could have used it to go to Volcan but we drove our own vehicle when we went there. The municipal water failed at one point, Nicolas was very proactive in helping us, showing how to use (carefully-we were 7 people) the reserve water tank while waiting for the municipality to fix it. The municipality 'temporarily' fixed it twice before fixing it for good, and he was quick to let us know so we could run a load through the washing machine when there was water beyond reserve tank.
