Step out the front door to sweeping Mt Hood views, a 7-acre open prairie, and easy access to hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and outdoor recreation. Sleeps 6 with a queen bedroom and loft with queen bed + futon. Features a full kitchen, clawfoot tub, and fire pit under the stars, perfect for a Mt Hood getaway, romantic retreat, or outdoor basecamp. Pets welcome with additional fees.

The Bear's Den, studio with kitchen and pond/creek

Our wonderful guest house is a cozy studio with a queen bed, kitchen, sofa, and dining table in one large room. There is a bathroom with shower. This is a second floor apartment over the detached garage, we live in the main house next door. The property is very secluded well off the road with no other houses nearby and borders the National Forest. Enjoy the spring fed pond in the front yard, a hike along the Sandy river, or a 15 min drive to ski resorts.

Niksen House: Scandanvian style Cabin at Mt. Hood

*water pressure issue has been fixed! Niksen House is located just outside of Mt. Hood National Forest, 20 minutes from ski areas and an hour from Portland. The cabin is in a rural residential community and sits next to a 1/2 acre lot giving it an off-the-grid feel with all of the on-the-grid amenities. Enjoy our beautiful cozy cabin that is heated exclusively by a wood stove, on the edge of a magical old growth cedar forest on our 11 acre farm and vineyard. Relax on the deck built into the trees, and sleep peacefully in the loft bed, as you soak in the nature around you. The cute out house is just down the path and the cedar hot tub/ outdoor shower is next to the garden.

Smokey’s Lost Haven

Small & cozy cabin in the woods. Short walk to Zig Zag river. Well equipped to make you feel comfortable & a little spoiled. Amazing back covered porch makes enjoying the outdoor possible any time of year! Sleeping 6 will be VERY cozy, limited private sleeping areas. Queen bed in upstairs bedroom, Q bed downstairs in open bed cubby, and Q sleeper sofa.

This remodeled cabin is a beauty! It is architecturally unique with interesting lines, floor to ceiling windows, an open concept main floor, wood burning stove and a king sized bed in the loft. This is a great home base for exploring all that Mt. Hood has to offer and a beautiful space to relax in afterwards!
