This is an urban/zen carriage house apartment, cozy yet spacious with the artists recycling hand at work. The neighborhood includes all the faces of America. I live in the stately house adjacent to the garage apartment. There is a back courtyard with a fire pit area. The house itself is on Detroit Ave. The apartment faces the side street which is Thoreau. The neighborhood is quiet. People walk up to Drugmart or City Hall nearby and early on weekdays middle schoolers can be heard going to the school nearby, but for all this people activity, this urban neighborhood is peaceful. Folks who stay here say it is perfect for a retreat .Looking to disappear for awhile? Come to "Nan's Nook on Thoreau." In Lakewood. We are family friendly. This could be a good spot for a couple traveling with a baby . We can accommodate.

De ruimte is fantastisch - grote keuken met alles wat je nodig hebt, comfortabele bank om te loungen, grote slaapkamer en grote badkamer en douche. Zeer stijlvol en comfortabel - voelde als thuis. Plus de gestapelde wasmachine en droger kwamen goed van pas! De buurt is schattig en vriendelijk en we hebben genoten van het diner in een restaurant een half blok verderop en hebben een beetje kerstinkopen gedaan in een van de plaatselijke boetieks. Tal van dingen op rijafstand en het centrum van Cleveland op slechts enkele kilometers afstand maakte het de perfecte locatie. Tussen de uitstekende gastvrijheid, locatie en comfortabele woonruimte was het de perfecte plek om een paar dagen door te brengen. We komen zeker terug!”
