Huisjes in Coastal Cottages

We had a wonderful stay at the Beach House! Location, location, location is what it was all about, just stunning! Great outdoor and indoor space for all of the family. We all enjoyed the sauna and it was just a pity that the hot tub was not in use, but it did not spoil anything. The only thing to be mindful of is the shortage of hot water when taking a shower, which i think has been mentioned in previous reviews. However, overall it's the most amazing location and house for a break in West Cork and we really hope we will be back one summer in the future!

Loved the house and amenities, the hydrobath and sauna are amazing and the view is beautiful. So nice chilling out in the jacuzzi looking at the mountains and stars

We had a wonderful stay at Gerard’s cottage! It was the perfect getaway. We especially loved the hot tub with the picturesque surroundings, so relaxing! It’s also super close to Clonakilty town and nearby beaches 🙌☺️

Amazing weekend will for sure be back to stay again. Cottages are perfect for a couple and are fitted with everything you need. The grounds the cottages are on are fantastic with a great view of the area.

Just home from a fabulous weekend at lizs place, it's a stunning cottage, liz had provided so much for us, full irish breakfast for 2 mornings, beautiful bunch of roses chocolates wine juice milk etc. she went above and beyond which we are so grateful for. the hottub was unreal and the flip flops and robes provided were a lovely touch..I can't say enough good things about liz or the property, very responsive host and checked in with us over the weekend too.. we would highly recommend a stay there and we hope to be back one day..

We had such a great time at Rosalind’s place! The house and the setting are just amazing. We stayed with our 4 children - there was plenty to keep them entertained and the surrounding area is lovely. Rosalind is a brilliant host - lots of really helpful information and communication was great. Highly recommended!!

We loved the location. It was great being able to bring the dogs with us, and go for walks to the nearby beach. The view from the garden was stunning. Finally, communication from Sarah was prompt and lots of useful recommendations for staying in the area. Thank you!

Deuxième séjour au cottage sur la jetée. La maison et la vue sur la baie sont toujours aussi bien même sous la pluie. Idéalement situé au calme à Kenmare, restaurants, boutiques et promenades à pied. Merci Hélène !

Mairéad's place is a fantastic, pet friendly, base for exploring the beautiful Beara Peninsula. We were lucky enough to have glorious weather for our stay so we enjoyed lots of coastal walks at the nearby Dunboy Castle, took the cable car to Dursey Island & a leisurely drive along the Ring of Beara. Mairéad has thought of everything to make your stay perfect, from farm fresh eggs, homemade treats to doggie poop bags! She was also very kind & understanding when we had to reschedule our original planned stay due to an unexpected family illness. Thanks so much for a great stay Mairéad, oh & our doggo loved the donkeys too!

We had a wonderful time staying at Des‘ cottage. If you are looking for a modern take on the traditional Irish Cottage - this is the place for you! Super cozy, has everything you need and more. Des provided everything for a delicious breakfast and was extremely helpful along the way. Also the place has everything if you are traveling with a small child as we were. 5 Star rating is more than deserved! We hope to be back :-)

We booked Pa’s Cottage the day before and what a beautiful cottage it was. Beautiful location, lovely to have 3 bedrooms with their own bathrooms and a washer and dryer! The kids were instantly in love with Charlie the dog and even had pats with the two cats. Anne was so lovely and provided a great tour of the house on arrival. Not only were there cereals, milk and treats, Anne baked us the best sponge cake we’ve ever tried. Our 3 nights passed by too quickly but were so glad of the time we spent here. Thank you!!

Pat and Gertie were warm and accommodating and Gertie’s homemade apple pie waiting for us when we arrived was a nice surprise. We stayed in the cottage with our one-year-old, and while it took a bit of creative baby proofing, we made it work! Gertie helped us coordinate bike rentals for the greenway which was a highlight of our stay.

Our favorite place we stayed in Ireland. We would definitely stay here again very responsive host. Treats and breakfast items, including milk and cereal, and eggs, were much appreciated. We use the woodstove all week, which was great. There’s a beautiful pasture out back. Both the outside and the inside of the cottage look great and we’re very clean. Unlike many Airbnb‘s the furniture was comfortable, and not too low to the ground. There were lots of nice touches like a reflective vest available for roadside walks. We appreciated having two bathrooms and the bedrooms were split a nice distance apart for me and my partner and my teenage son . Wi-Fi was strong; Elaine provided a charger for devices; clean sponges for the kitchen were appreciated as well all the amenities such as toiletries and dish soap.

Lovely cosy cottage with the fire lit - sheep and chickens for neighbours and a really nice living space. Well appointed kitchen too. Wish we'd been able to stay longer.

Beautiful home with everything we needed for our stay! It was peaceful, easy to find, and just a short drive into Killarney center. We really enjoyed our time here and highly recommend it!

This was the most idyllic cottage we could have imagined for our New Years stay. David recommended the best local pub for us to enjoy a traditional Irish new years and it made our trip so great. He was so friendly and welcoming and let us pet the horses. He had lots of history and insight to offer and this place is perfect for any country Irish holiday dreams!

We had a lovely stay at Riona’s and Paddy’s place. The appartement had everything we needed. Riona was super welcoming and we loved that she baked some fresh bread for us upon arrival. I would highly recommend staying here if you are exploring the Kingdom.

It's a lovely cottage with good cooking facilities, a comfortable bed, and a good shower. We liked listening to the bird song in the garden and watching the wood-burning fire in the evenings. It feels special to stay there. Kate responded very quickly to messages and gave us great tips for places to visit which really enhanced our trip. You will need a car as it's some distance to the nearest shop, restaurant, or pub. The cottage is easily big enough for two people, but there's almost no storage space. We kept our suitcases under the dining table.

Our second stay at the cottages in two years which is always a good indication of how at home I feel lhere. If you are looking for a complete switch off, amazing countryside and total chill out... This is the place to do it.

What a great find. After lots of travelling around the cities of Europe this cottage was just what we needed to stop and relax for a few days. Glorious views of the valley, cows and countryside. The cottage was like being at home with everything we needed, super clean, so well done. A warm baked apple pie greeted us on arrival, made by Catherine who was a beautiful host. Plenty to do and see within easy drives , beautiful villages, seaside towns, coastal drives, walks and gardens. Definately recommend this one.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at Patricia’s cottage. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The accommodations were clean, cozy, and well- equipped with everything we needed for a perfect family break. The location was ideal, allowing us to easily explore the area. Patricia was very responsive to our messages and nothing was an issue. We highly recommend this lovely cottage for anyone looking for a family-friendly getaway.
