The giant deck features a dining area and a Napoleon BBQ.

This 4-season cottage was built in 2018 and located on a pristine lake, between Wentworth and Wallace in beautiful Cumberland County. It has always been a place to relax and be in nature for family and friends so I feel fortunate to be able to share it with others to also enjoy. It’s approximately a 15 min drive to the villages of either Pugwash/Wallace/Wentworth and/or Tatamagouche which offer a variety of opportunities such as hiking/biking, skiing, golf and beautiful beaches and local markets

Birch Burn Retreat, a former 19th-century church, offers a tranquil escape with forest walks, hammock relaxation and firepit nights. The covered veranda off the front of the cottage provides you with stunning views of the tidal river and a private hot tub overlooks the river as well. Swim, boat, float, whatever you wish, the river awaits! We also have a motorized floating picnic table for rent if you'd like to explore the river some more.
