My wife and I came here after our wedding on a 'mini-moon' just to get away and reflect on our wedding. We've been here once before, and this trip was just as good as the last, even though the weather wouldn't cooperate most of the weekend. The hosts were again very proactive and responsive - we had one very minor issue (that I wouldn't have even mentioned) and the host proactively reached out to apologize for the minor inconvenience. They also left us a little somethng to commemorate our wedding and make us feel special. We again couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this listing to anyone looking for a memorable, unplugged escape.

This is a beautiful place, newly built on a private lot surrounded by trees. No cell service, but blazing fast WiFi and a landline if really needed. Can definitely recommend! Ben (host) was super responsive and has great instructions including YouTube how-to videos on how to use the amenities (whirlpool, fireplace, …). Great place to disconnect and recharge!

We enjoyed a quiet long weekend at Robert’s cabin on the lake. It was cozy during the rainy days, and perfect for sunny mornings on the dock. Great secluded location, a quick ride into town but we drove to Lake Placid most nights, which is just a 15m ride. Note there is a busy road across the lake, but it didn’t lessen our experience in any way. Would love to come back in summer when the lake is safe to kayak! Bed and linens were extremely comfortable. Highly recommend this place.

Scott communicated well and checked in with us. Appreciated the food recommendations and tried one of the suggestions and loved the BBQ! Thanks Scott and crew.

This little get away was exactly what my boyfriend and I needed! We went into town the people are so friendly and very helpful, the neighbor Jim was a sweet guy and always said good morning! and told us a great spot for ice cream. Try the Simple Maple cup it was amazing. Place was clean and just like the photos, highly recommend.

Our stay at Canary Cabin was truly wonderful! It’s a perfect private location that is close to town and anything you may need! The place was clean and so many details made it cozy and comfortable. The kitchenette was perfect for a small breakfast and dinner. The hot tub was the best way to end the day. Thank you Amy for your hospitality! We will be back!

An absolutely amazing place to stay! Beautiful property and area. House was clean and had plenty of amenities. Samantha was extremely friendly and responsive host during my stay. If you stay here, you definitely need to take advantage of the beautiful walking trails behind the house that go along the river. I will definitely be returning here in the future.

We love the Karma Cabin! This is the second time we stayed with Claudia and it was just as good as the time before. It is by far the most dog friendly Airbnb I have ever experienced and it’s really nice to be able to bring the dogs for a break from the city without concern. I was able to go ski just a few min away and my husband (non-skier) enjoyed relaxing at the cabin and took advantage of the nice big tub and hammock. 10/10!

Winter Wonderland Retreat!!! Talia's place was AMAZING!!! We arrived during a snow storm and within a couple of hours the roads and the driveway were all cleared and plowed! The Cabin and trees were all cloaked in snow and it was warm and cozy inside!!! Our two doggos enjoyed exploring the woods and searching for signs of the deer family living nearby. There was a family with young deer and they slept under the pine trees in the back woods. :) They also enjoyed their strolls down the driveway and along the quiet neighborhood roads. :) The night sky was UNBELIEVABLE!!! I did not realize there were so many stars in the night sky!! :) The cabin is very close to Pleasant Mountain, which is a beautiful place to ski! :) The Cabin had everything we needed!! We are looking forward to our next retreat already!! Talia was awesome! She was very helpful and responsive. We loved our stay!! Thank you for everything, Talia!! :)

My wife and I had a great time at Jeanne's place. It was very secluded and peaceful. She left tons of information, not only regarding the property but also the local area. The cabin was rustic but with many modern features. Really the best of both worlds. The kitchen was stocked with food supplies, coffee, etc., as well as any pots, pans, dishes and utensils one would need. It was cold outside but the heaters kept the cabin comfortable. An all-wheel drive vehicle or at least one that isn't low to the ground is probably preferred for the road the property was on. It was maybe a half hour to Lake Placid and there were some restaurants within about a 10 minute drive. Great trip and highly recommended!

Jan’s place was exceptionally clean and well suited for our family ski trip. Everything was thoughtfully decorated and equipped for a stay of our group of 4. She even went the extra mile to communicate with me when I misplaced an item to coordinate with the cleaner and get back to me. Would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our stay at Sarah's Place. Great location - right between Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Very easy to find. Clean, cozy, welcoming! It had everything we needed. The king bed was very comfortable. All was neat and tidy! Our dogs seemed to enjoy the space also - the sweet back porch and nice yard for dogs to explore were perfect for us. We didn't get to use the outdoor grill or fire pit - maybe next time!

You cannot go wrong staying here! The nature is pristine, the hot tub is bubbling, and the entire place is beautiful, comfortable, and just generally fun to be inside of. Can't wait to come back!

I loved everything about our stay here! The cottage was extremely lovely and peaceful, with an especially fantastic library! Jessica was very responsive to a question I had about check out times, and all instructions were as clear as the house was clean (very). Highest recommendation!

Kate and Rory's home was a great place for our family of three and our dog to stay during our trip to Jay Peak. It's sometime difficult to find pet friendly lodging. Kate and Rory's place was perfect for us. Comfortable bedrooms. Spotlessly clean on arrival.

This place is the perfect weekend retreat. The sound of running water right outside the windows is calming. They provide all tools for cooking with clear instructions and rules on paper. There is no service at all so if you are looking for a weekend of disconnect this is the place for you. They supply tons of wood for the stove and fire pit outside. There are two stores at the bottom of the hill that are worth checking out and have anything from farm to table to basic needs. A beautiful spot and amazing views being in the mountains.

Such a beautiful private cabin. Walked around the two small ponds each morning. Perfect location to visit my niece at Paul Smiths. Comfy bed, tons of pillows, plenty warm (we had rain and snow while I was there). I wasn't able to enjoy the small deck because of the weather, but looking out the picture window all day while I remote worked was wonderful. Although Jillian said the wi-fi may not be the 'best', I had no issues with being on multiple TEAMS and Zoom meetings all day and using two laptops. She must have improved this feature. I also got to watch two movies on Netflix, thank you. Jillian, I will be recommending your little cabin to every one of my family members as they go visiting up in your area. It is leaps and bounds better than the last two places I stayed. Jackson is a little sweetheart, he came by each morning to say hello. Sully enjoyed it also. Thank you. Carol.

We loved our visit at the Peace Ridge Cabin! The cabin was cozy and peaceful, surrounding nice hiking trails and views of the mountains near by. The house offered amenities that made our stay exactly what we were looking for. Just a short drive to some nice restaurants and Lake Placid center made it convenient. We enjoyed getting to bring our dog who loved exploring the grounds! Jerry was polite and informative. He was even flexible when we needed to check in early! We enjoyed our stay and would love to return again!

We loved staying at the cabin! It was 2 adults and one infant, and we had plenty of space to setup a pack n play for the baby to sleep. It was very clean, even for such an old cabin. The heat worked good since it was still cold in April. Lisa came over to introduce herself and asked if we needed anything, super friendly. It’s perfect for a short stay with a small family/couple. Just remember to bring your own towels :) The front porch with the rocking chairs is awesome as well. We will stay here again the next time we are in the Skowhegan area!

Had an amazing time at this adorable cabin! We happened to be visiting during a winter storm which made the cabin even more charming. Jackie was wonderful and offered for us to change the reservation due to the storm but we decided to go ahead as planned and had a great time. The place was so clean, cozy and the views were amazing! Highly recommend!

We loved staying at Merle's! The location was quiet and peaceful. Lots of space for my pup to run around and be safe. Will have to return when it's not raining to check out the stars!

It really is the most beautiful cabin! The stream is so very lovely and the hosts are so nice and friendly! The bed is super comfy and the little heater that is provided is perfect for cooler weather. The shower is just amazing. The whole place is so beautiful and the perfect spot to rest! I definitely want to go back and sincerely think everyone should go there at least once in their life! Thank you, Christina and Doug!

Jack and Donna's cabin was exactly as described. We loved our stay, so peaceful and quiet. Their rustic cabin has everything that we needed to enjoy a quick get away, beautiful surroundings and a warm fire for the chilly nights. Even though the cabin is off-the-grid, the lights (both solar and gas) were more than enough to provide light to read a good book and play some board games. The kitchen is well appointed with pots and pans, dishes, and cooking utensils. We very much look forward to returning to this lovely place and exploring more of the area!
