The view made the stay. We had many peaceful mornings and evenings taking in the light over the river. We loved the big main room that connected the den, kitchen, and dining space, all overlooking the river. Bedrooms were only used for sleeping. There are no neighbors on one side of the house, which was nice to have that outdoor space to ourselves. There are a couple of extra rooms to the house that are not updated and used as storage (not a part of the guest area), but every room that we used was as advertised and comfortable. It was a nice location for hiking in Petit Jean where we could pop over to the park whenever we wanted to hike or visit the lodge.

The house is beautiful, perfect size for a family or just a couple. The back yard is cozy with the fire pit, and the carport holds 2 vehicles but there is plenty of parking for more. Beds are comfortable and the bedrooms are spacious. Definitely recommend.

We stayed here while we went on a fishing and hiking trip and it was perfect for the two of us! The house is SO cute and very well kept. We used the kitchen numerous times and it had all we needed to cook in it. The host was super responsive to all of our questions and needs and made the stay even better. I would definitely recommend this place for its cleanliness, coziness, and location.

What a great place to stay. Hostess was very helpful and accommodating. She even provided her contact information in case we needed anything.

The Hida A Way was exactly as described. It was cozy and separated from the hotel. We got to use the pool, play area, and sitting area they had at the hotel. Home was cozy and close to everything Petit Jean State Park has to offer.

The photo and description do not do this place justice. The cabin was clean, cute, and well-stocked. The views were incredible. If you are looking for solitude and peace…this is your place. There is plenty to do…walking, fishing, exploring. My nephews came to visit and we all caught some mighty catfish (We released, so they are still waiting for you!) If you’re planning a wedding or family reunion, they can definitely accommodate you! We had the opportunity to meet the owners…they are just incredible, welcoming people.

I had a magnificent stay at this cottage. Being encompassed in the trees and fresh air was exactly what was needed & desired. Richard was responsive to our late arrival and made adjustments for us to have a smooth check in process. Thank you!

My family and I enjoyed the heated pool, lake front, and the game room. The space was immaculate!! My son learned how to fish and spent most of his time in the water. I would recommend this property if you and your family will be residing nearby. We will definitely stay here again. The master suite feels right at home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Literally right outside Petit Jean park- very close to everything we wanted to do. Definitely recommend and would stay again!

I absolutely felt at home in the Parker Place. If ever they wanted a long term tenant, I would definitely request them to choose me so that I could move back home, lol because that’s how much at home I felt. Pet friendly, however, I traveled alone on this trip. I know that my Yorkie would have loved playing in the big backyard. Thank you kindly for sharing your home with me. 😃 I appreciate everything!!

4 gal friends stayed - perfect accommodations. Everything was very clean & comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed & very nice appliances. They have decorated the home with such cute items & some are quite unusual - some antiques - very nice. The master bath shower is huge & gorgeous - felt so good to be a bit pampered after hiking all day! Such a nice back yard area to sit in the evening enjoying the perfect April weather during our stay. The large yard has delightful gnomes & they devised a scavenger hunt for the gnomes. The location is perfect for visiting the state park .... very close to the park sign. The hosts communicated with us in a very timely manner. We had no complaints & highly recommend this home.

We had a great time! The view was incredible. This beautiful cabin had everything we needed and more to enjoy our time away. It was also comfortable and very clean. A lot of thought went into the furnishings and accommodations. It was a home away from home. The beds were comfortable. There was plenty of dishes, bedding and towels for our family. Our host was attentive, responsive and helpful. We will certainly stay here again when we visit Petit Jean. Thank you Mary Ruth!

Second time of staying. As good as the first. Easy access. Everything provided except groceries of course. Condiments galore. Seems that guests pay it forward. We did too, such as bottled water, bags of chips, etc. Comfortable beds. very responsive heating or cooling. Highly recommended.

Our stay at the barnyard was exceptional as always! We always love hanging out with all the animals and the fresh eggs at breakfast was a lovely surprise. Would definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking for an experience as well as a place to stay. We love sherita, thanks again for everything!
