A wonderful stay and an excellent host. Anthony was friendly, welcoming and proactive. His instructions were extremely helpful and we were pleased to find that the property was exactly as described and had all of the contents listed plus more. We felt right at home and relaxed for the duration. We would thoroughly recommend Anthony's house as a superb location to explore the lake district.

What a stunning little cottage. Great space for me, hubby and our dog. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and more. It was very comfortable and cosy and the attention to detail is amazing. The welcome basket was an added bonus and very much appreciated. It was just a 5 minute walk into the centre of Bedale and it has everything you need.

Wow what a beautiful little find. The surroundings are just as beautiful as the place. Attention to detail with this property, felt like home from home. We enjoyed the real fire, the bedding was lush and the bath was to die for 🥰

We've stayed there a couple of times now as its a handy stop off between the Highlands and Hampshire. Its always met our needs and never let us down.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was cosy and convenient for what we wanted to do. Steve and Helen couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. They provided extra little treats and access to a washing machine. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend to others.

Lovely, clean, spacious lodge in a lovely setting with a perfectly placed hot tub. The lodge meet all our requirements. Plenty of storage space, extra bedding provided and all the essentials. Highly recommended.

An excellent stay! The cottage was great, well equipped and communication was excellent throughout. Loved having the swimming pool and other activities on site for the kids.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we felt at home from the day we arrived. The cottage was perfect for our extended stay (a month) and we will fondly remember our time in the cottage, Frosterley and the Weardale and North Pennines area. Our hosts were very friendly, laid back and made us feel wonderfully relaxed during our stay. The cottage was warm, comfortable and well appointed and ideal for our needs. We would definitely recommend River View Cottage and the other accommodation in the courtyard to family and friends and we would definitely consider returning in the future for another break.
