Discover the ultimate black bear retreat at BearBNB on Port Alberni’s Somass River. This cozy 2-bedroom suite features a full kitchen and spacious living area, but the true draw is just outside. Overlooking a primary wildlife corridor, guests enjoy front-row seats to black bears foraging along the river, eagles soaring above and even sea lions in the fall. A short walk to paper mill dam park, where you can swim, relax on the beach or go for a short hike.

Welcome to our listing and the Cowichan Valley. We overlook Quamichan Lake, and are located midway between salt water at Maple Bay and the city of Duncan (each are a six minute drive away). We are also midway between Nanaimo and Victoria (1 hour drives). For bikers and hikers the Mt. Tzoulhalem (Kaspa Road) trailhead is 600m away (we provide bike lockup). Our rate is for 2 guests. Additional guests are $50 per night. Sorry, we're not child-proofed.

Oceanfront Studio with Hot Tub

We're located oceanfront in beautiful Maple Bay near biking/hiking trails, Maple Bay beach, pubs and restaurants. This cozy Studio offers stunning views and is complete with a kitchenette, full-piece bathroom and a hot tub. Suite has its own private entrance. Kitchenette is equipped with a small fridge, induction stove top, convection oven/microwave/air fryer. Please note: Driveway is sloped, with set of stairs to Guest Suite.
