The Cottage

Unplug in this peaceful little getaway. Nestled in the backyard of our little hobby farm near the Wood River, you will be able to visit our alpacas, goat, or honey bees. Sit and relax on the porch, or stroll through the pasture or neighborhood. In many ways, the cottage resembles a tiny house with a small bathroom & shower, kitchen sink, microwave, induction hot plate, coffee maker, plates, glasses & utensils. Many of the restaurants & shopping amenities are located on the north end of Kearney.

Soap dispenser in the shower. Makeup wipes provided. Charging station and WiFi porter. Charging outlets in all bedside tables.

Mama Jen’s 4BR Johnson Lake Front Getaway

Relax with the whole family (or friends) at this peaceful, spacious home located in a quiet cove right on Johnson lake not far from the Marina. The home features 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a huge dining area with a beautiful kitchen as well as two living-room spaces. The home can easily sleep 16+. There are also outdoor dining/seating areas as well as a bbq grill & fire-pit plus kayaks & a lilly pad to use. IF you prefer not to have the 4th bedroom/Husker family suite you can a reduced rate.

Relax with the family in our conveniently located home. We purchased and remodeled this 1930's bungalow keeping as many original features as possible. What started out as hobby, paired with Gothenburg's need for affordable lodging, has blossomed into a way for us to raise a little extra money for our daughters college fund. We are located just four miles from top ranked Wild Horse Golf Club, two blocks from Highway 30, one mile from Interstate 80, and three blocks from historic downtown.

Come explore the great outdoors when you stay at the river house and enjoy the quiet as you look over the South Loup River Valley. There is river access for all kinds of water fun from tubing, fishing, kayaking, and swimming. You can enjoy evening sunsets out on the covered front porch or setup your telescope for some amazing star gazing with no light pollution. The fiber optic connection makes it easy to use your smart devices for entertainment or setup a mobile office to work remotely.

Quick access to the boat ramp at Lakeshore Marina, the walking and bike trail, Nautical Rose....and of course the beautiful lake!
