We had a wonderful stay for 8 nights here. This is a true haven in idyllic surroundings. The property is beautifully furnished with local craftwork. The living/diner area is bigger than the photos and the view from the large wall of windows over the voe is commanding. The kitchen is well equipped. The shower is first class and the double bed is very comfortable. Sean is an amazing host … responsive to enquiries, full of local information and recommendations and so welcoming that you will immediately feel at home. Whiteness is well placed for access to all of the mainland and very peaceful. We would love to return and from the visitors book could see that many have.

Loved staying at the Chalet. Really well located next to the ferry in Ulsta and was the perfect base for exploring Yell. The chalet is really well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Thanks!

We found Louis’s cottage to be perfect for our requirements on our short visit back home to the Isles. It was clean, warm comfortable and in a fantastic location- quiet and peaceful with truly lovely views plus easily walkable to the supermarket and on to the main part of the town. We think there was a small error in the directions to the cottage but the correct route is very obvious. The tv could possibly be upgraded but these are very minor issues. No complaints and a really lovely place to spend a few restful days. Thank you Lois

The house is charming and exceeded our expectations. The Art on the walls and individual well considered decor made it homely and interesting and very comfortable. House is warm and such a beautiful view , watching the ladies who swim in the sea each morning at 6.00 am in all weathers was an inspiration. Hope to return. Highly recommend everything about this property and the local advice and detail in making us feel welcome. Lovely stay at Ingrid's when we visited family in Scalloway. A home from home with great views across the harbour to Burra. Very comfortable, cosy and spotlessly clean. We appreciated all the extra touches such as Shetland soaps in the bathroom and biscuits, tea, coffee & milk in the kitchen. Ingrid had put the heating on ahead of our arrival too which was very thoughtful as we arrived late on a particularly cold night. Ingrid will go the extra mile to make your visit enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

The house was cosy and comfortable and equipped with all necessary amenities. The location was great for exploring the beauty of Shetland. Fiona was a fabulous host, very responsive and made sure our stay was superb.

The cottage was perfect for us five, clean, practical and cosy. We really enjoyed being on the croft, and at the time of lambing ! Thank you Bruce, Jean and John for your warm welcome. We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back.

Da Roost is a special place to holiday. The house is warm, well appointed and comfortable. The fresh flowers on arrival was a lovely touch. We loved the location, so close to Sumburgh Head (saw some puffins), West Voe beach (we swam there) and Ness of Burgi (lovely walk). Communication around the arrival and departure was clear. We highly recommend Da Roost.
