We had a group of 9 that stayed at this house. All the bedrooms were comfortable and we had plenty of room for our group. We were particularly impressed by how well stocked the kitchen was with plenty of cookware and dishes for meals. The view from the home is beautiful! We would gladly stay here again!

The house was beautifully remodeled. All amenities were spot on! Gorgeous kitchen & bathrooms. We loved the gas fireplace insert!

Beautiful location, super relaxing and was not hard to find. The house is bigger than it even looked, we had plenty of space. The hot tub was an amazing touch. The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating. Easy check in process We would definitely return for a relaxing weekend

Ashley was very responsive and proactive, gave clear instructions making check-in and check-out seamless and quick. House was stocked with everything you could think of and there were helpful instructions for all amenities! Very nice and peaceful stay, made for a great girls weekend by the lake!

We had such a nice stay. Alicia was very proactive and made sure we felt as comfortable as possible. After a long drive, it was great to stay somewhere that just felt like home.

I don’t even know where to start. The location is gorgeous, the cabin had everything you could need, right where you would think it would be. Adam was extremely responsive. The wildlife was active and fascinating. We used the fire pit on the last night there and just seemed magical! The queen bed is comfy, as the couch. If you can manage to come on a full moon, do it. Seeing the moon rising over the mountain across the river was a little bit like watching a miracle happen. A+ across the board. I feel so fortunate to have found this place. Thank you Adam and family. And thank you Pam, the place was spotless. We didn’t want to leave, and will be back as often as we can manage it. I can’t wait to see it through the different seasons. It is truly a special place.

We had such a Wonderful Thanksgiving weekend in Sneedville with our family! Thank you for opening your beautiful home to us and our pups. It was exactly what we were looking for!! Such a cozy cottage with beautiful surroundings. Thank you for being so flexible with check in! We will be back in the spring for sure and for all of our other trips to Sneedville. Wow! Just WOW!! What a lovely place, as described, but also just so "right"!! SO MUCH attention to detail inside that I could have walked around for my entire stay admiring the architectural details and decorating in the house...and the outside plantings, flowers, paths and garden art was breath taking. Susan pays so much attention to all the details to make your stay GREAT! I have had some really good AirBnB stays in the past but this place is the TOPS and will be hard to beat in any of my future travels to other regions of the USA. Thank you Susan for opening this home to me for my travels! The house, yard, and stay was GREAT!!! Now to the "business end" of the review! Amenities as listed, pictures spot on accurate. Easy to get to and not off the beaten path so close to places to eat, gas and shopping but very quiet neighborhood. The neighborhood was quiet during the week and weekend days/nights and felt very secure and "home" here. -Liz

I spent 3 nights on this property , the pricing was fair for the view and the amenities. Absolutely beautiful scenery, I hate that I didn’t get to get in the lake because of the weather , but so happy they had private hot tub on the property. The hot tub itself will leave you feeling stress free lol. The house was spotless and decor was beautiful very homie. I was suppose to have 5 guest but ended up just being 3 and feel like that’s the perfect amount of guest for this house. Love it , and highly recommend if you just wanna get away and enjoy some nature.

we always enjoy staying at either one of James' places. Both feel like a home away from home and always pristine clean and comfortable. We look for either of his locations first when staying in the area.

If I was ever in the Middlesboro area again, I would definitely pick Elk Cottage!! It had the cutest decorations, a very cozy bed, peaceful wildlife and extra supplies in cause you forgot anything! Like deodorant, face wash, hair dryers and more! A perfect home away from home :)

Susan’s house was well maintained clean and easy to access. It was a nice and quiet spot to be able to relax after a full days drive

We drove from Tampa to Cincinnati and stopped here for our hallway stay. It couldn’t have been any better! A beautiful creek and waterfall right behind the house where we had a campfire and relaxed…. This will definitely be our halfway point from now on!

We loved how serene the cabin was. Surrounded my the mountains and open yard and creek, it was absolutely beautiful. We played in the water and flew our drone above. There was a bird who visited us every single morning between 7:30am-9am “knocking” on all the glass windows and doors. We are early risers so it was fine. But if you are a light or late sleeper, I’d recommend bringing a white noise machine. It took us a minute to get use to the well water and smell but overall it was fine. The bridge made me so anxious driving across it. We were able to park our trailer at the nearby business before crossing the bridge. We’d definitely stay there again!

This was our second stay here at the cozy cabin. We love the country setting and the great price. It’s not fancy but it’s comfy and clean! Love the new couch and the tv works and Wi-Fi work great! The owners are very responsive but give total privacy. We will probably always stay here when visiting our adult children that live down here. Only thing we’d change is the barking dogs across the street. But we can’t be too mad at any doggos! Probably they are keeping away the bears! By the way, this place is very dog friendly which is good because one of our daughters brings her dog when visiting with us there.

I adore this place. It is perfect for the serenity that I need after working all day. Loads of beautiful scenery & wildlife too!!! The place is pristine & very comfy. I so appreciate you opening up this gorgeous space!!!
