A really stunningly beautiful house, the decor was absolutely top notch. Everything was spotlessly clean, and he had even left us fresh milk, tea, coffee, and sugar, which was a nice touch. Would highly recommend to anyone looking in that area for a place to stay.

Beckside Gorgeous village home

This is a lovely, recently built house with everything you need for a short or extended stay in the area. Stephen is a great host. The house was very clean and tidy and we had a lovely welcome basket on the kitchen table. The towels are very soft and fluffy. The main bedroom has an extremely comfortable bed and both showers are excellent. The comfortable living room can easily seat 4-6 people. Hurworth is a lovely village with a couple of good pubs and hotels nearby. Darlington is a brief drive away with more on offer including restaurants, bars, cinemas and a fab train museum, and the surrounding areas have much more including fabulous walks, beautiful market towns and lovely scenery from moor to riverside, beach and cliffs. We have friends who live in the village and this is our new favourite place to stay when we come and visit. Looking forward to our next trip down to the area.

Great Airbnb if you need to stay in that area of Darlington. Very clean. Well appointed kitchen. Everything you need to self cater. Comfy beds and great sheets. Lots of space for a couple or small family. Parking at end of street, was ok for us, but others may prefer accommodation with direct road access. Laura was a great host.

Hunnypot Cottage

Booked for a long weekend visiting Friends in the North. We've stayed in dozens of holiday cottages over the years; Hunnypot had the best equipped kitchen of any of them. It was spotlessly clean, warm and looked newly decorated. The only setback was that the road outside the house is narrow, as it makes clear in the specs; if you have a larger car you may not be able to get it through the lane let along park it there. Our rented Mazda CX-5 (7' wide including the wing mirrors) wouldn't fit and I had to reverse it back down the lane. This isn't really a problem as there's plenty of space near the pub on the wider (and still quiet) West Road a two-minute walk away, just be prepared and if you have a large vehicle don't be like me, don't try to get it through in the first place. The village pub is down-to-earth and friendly and the delights of Richmond only a few minutes drive. Beamish Living Museum was a great place to visit and well worth the forty-minute drive. We'd stay here again.

A Home Away from Home in Yorkshire" Our holiday at Laura’s cottage flew by far too quickly! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcome and at ease. The cottage was spotless and beautifully maintained, with thoughtful little touches that made it feel just like home. It had everything we needed—even those little items you’d always have handy in your own house, which made our stay even more comfortable. The peaceful farm setting was simply lovely. We enjoyed watching the cows, sheep, and chickens, and we were delighted by the little squirrel that visited the garden. The tranquility of the place was just perfect—so calm and relaxing. A special mention to Laura’s mum and dad, who were incredibly warm and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our chats with them, which made our stay even more memorable. If you’re looking for a cozy, peaceful retreat in Yorkshire, this is the perfect place. We can’t recommend it enough and would love to return!

Had a great stay at Bridge Cottage, lovely location with lots of local walks. Clarey and Barney responded quickly to any questions we had both before and during our stay. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Had a great stay! Fred was super easy to reach and quick to reply. The apartment was clean, spacious and had everything I needed. Loved that it was just a short walk to the town centre and the reserved parking spot was a big plus. Really appreciated the milk and juice in the fridge too - nice touch! Would happily stay again!

Avril and David were in the garden when I arrived so the greeting was friendly and helpful from the start. I had further conversations with David as we share an interest in preserving old buildings. The accommodation is a barn conversion providing a place of character but with very modern facilities at the same time. The barn is separate from the house giving an air of privacy. An extensive DVD library is available, good internet and a very modern large screen TV. Recommended if you want countryside character combined with modern comforts.

We stay in a lot of AirBnb's and this was one of the nicest properties we have stayed in. The house was clean, of a good size, beautiful bed linen, equipped with everything you would need, and at a reasonable cost. We would definitely stay again.

(as of December 2020) Pros: tidy, newly refurbished house (some furniture still has labels on it). Has everything you need for both short and long-term stay. A truly hotel-like experience. Cons: the fridge is tiny. I lived there alone and it was barely enough for me. The internet is slow (around 10 Mb/s) - had to use my own mobile data most of the time.

Lovely stay in a comfortable house which was set in a beautiful location. Les made us feel very welcome and had left thoughtful and generous touches for Christmas including putting up a tree and decorations, and gifting us cava, cake, chocolates, nuts and fruit. Any questions were answered promptly and helpfully.

Lovely cosy caravan

We had a fantastic stay here over the Easter weekend. Lynn and Louise are fantastic hosts always really responsive and went above and beyond in leaving an Easter welcome basket with treats for the kids. The caravan is clean and exactly like the pictures and description provided. We didn’t use the site amenities but the caravan is located close to the main entertainment centre and pool. It is only few mins walk down to the lovely large sand beach which the kids and dogs loved! Overall we had a great stay here and would happily recommend!

We had a great stay, in a clean, spacious, up to date caravan, was very quiet, as the caravan site isn't open till the middle of March. That was not a problem we made our own entertainment with the cards and games provided, I would stay there again and would recommend it to my family and friends. we have used Air BnB several times and have never had a bad encounter, Lisa kept me updated and was prompt in replying to messages I sent. Thank you from my family and myself.

Caravan in Yorkshire

We had an enjoyable couple of nights away. Lovely, homely, clean caravan. No WiFi so had the teenagers playing board games! Didn't realise we had to get entertainment passes to go into the restaurant and these are quite expensive if you're only staying a couple of nights....at least we know for next time. The beach was a short walk away and was fairly quiet...ahhh, peace. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful caravan and very clean. Looks exactly like the photos. Well decorated and little extras. really helpful things like salt and vinegar and shower gel. right on the sea front with a 10 walk to get feet on the sand. Beach was amazing really peaceful and lovely sunrise view. A lovely few days stay 💚
