Stayed for one night for a local event. Lovely cottage. Comfortable sofa and beds. Fully equipped kitchen. Loved the pictures on the walls. Would love to return for a longer stay.

Booked for a long weekend visiting Friends in the North. We've stayed in dozens of holiday cottages over the years; Hunnypot had the best equipped kitchen of any of them. It was spotlessly clean, warm and looked newly decorated. The only setback was that the road outside the house is narrow, as it makes clear in the specs; if you have a larger car you may not be able to get it through the lane let along park it there. Our rented Mazda CX-5 (7' wide including the wing mirrors) wouldn't fit and I had to reverse it back down the lane. This isn't really a problem as there's plenty of space near the pub on the wider (and still quiet) West Road a two-minute walk away, just be prepared and if you have a large vehicle don't be like me, don't try to get it through in the first place. The village pub is down-to-earth and friendly and the delights of Richmond only a few minutes drive. Beamish Living Museum was a great place to visit and well worth the forty-minute drive. We'd stay here again.

Check-in was super easy, and the home is beautiful and very spacious. We especially loved the charming pink bathroom! The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. For the size of the home, the price was fantastic, and it’s located very close to shops and restaurants. Highly recommend! Thankyou :)

Amanda's place is lovely. Very well decorated throughout with great fixtures and fittings. Bedlinen and towels very clean and fresh. We were visiting relatives who were in the country for a few days. Never been to Darlington before. The people we met were very friendly. There's a lovely big park right by the house that's worth a visit. We really enjoyed our two nights and would stay again if in the area.

For my first time using airBnB it has made me confident to book again. The host was very polite and responsive, the house was clean and tidy and we felt right at home. Upon leaving we noticed a leak from the sink in the downstairs bathroom so I informed the host and to be helpful left a bowl under the leak. All in all great stay and great host.

Absolutely fantastic pad,everything was as it said. Nice and clean , comfortable, easy access to restaurants and shops. definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay. The reclinable sofa was very comfortable and relaxing. There were lots of nice places to eat close by.

Jane met us on arrival, explained everything, then left us to chill out. The welcome pack and fresh flowers were a lovely gesture and were much appreciated. The cottage was spotless and felt extremely homely. We very much enjoyed the games room and enclosed hot tub. The garden areas were vast with lots of outdoor furniture. We enjoyed a lovely ice cream at Archers ice cream parlour (10 min walk) and experienced both pubs in nearby Heighington, very friendly, great food and service in the George & Dragon. Another recommendation is the nearby Raby castle, definitely a worthwhile visit. We definitely recommend staying at Ivy cottage and look forward to returning there again. Thank you Jane.
