Huisjes in Decentralized Administration of Crete

Stayed here for three weeks in April. The Makis mother did her absolute best to make us feel at home right away - she often brought us home cooked pastries and Greek desserts. Starlink Internet was stable and fast, had no issues with it. You are pretty high up in the mountains so it can get chilly if you are not going in summer, when we arrived it was pretty cold inside. Water pressure is not great but manageable, it's also solar hot water, so the temperature can be hit and miss. The place has hotel-like access card for the lights and sockets, so when you leave everything turns off, which can be a bit of nuisance. Not much natural light inside, but the mains lighting inside is more than sufficient during night time. For better or worse you are middle of nowhere surrounded by mountains and sheep's, thus there is really no reception in the area, for sms and calls you need to go outside.

Amazing terrace, felt private and had nice views on the sea and mountains. Great communication with the host.

Logement impeccable, belle petite maison rénovée avec goût. Le jacuzzi est très agréable surtout à cette période ou une fois la nuit tombée la température tombe vite! Nous remercions les hôtes pour leurs petites attention. Ideale pour y rester quelques jours en famille! Seul petit point négatif, la route principale du village un peu passante devant le logement (ne pas hésiter à fermer le portillon à clé avec des enfants!) cependant, une fois à l'intérieur celui ci est très bien insonorisé.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in dem Haus und haben uns von Anfang an total wohl gefühlt. Die Umgebung und die Aussicht ist einfach traumhaft. Der Pool ist unbeschreiblich. Es ist wirklich ein toller Ort, um zu entspannen und sich zu erholen. Zunächst wollten wir nur eine Woche bleiben, haben dann aber den Aufenthalt sogar noch verlängert. Dank des tollen Gastgebers war das kein Problem. Vielen Dank für dieses wunderbare Urlaubserlebnis. Wir kommen bestimmt nochmal wieder ;-).

Die Villa liegt wunderschön in einer Sackgasse am Berg des kleinen Örtchens Armenoi. Alles ist prima gepflegt, sauber und stimmungsvoll. Alle Sanitärfunktionen sind sehr gut in Schuss, die Küche gut incl. Spülmaschine ausgestattet und die Schlafbereiche gepflegt. Der Grill hat tadellos funktioniert und Kohle und Anzünder lagen bereit. Die Kommunikation mit Elina war toll, sehr hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Ein PKW ist unverzichtbar, wenn man mal ans Meer möchte ( 8 min. Fahrzeit nach Kalyves ). Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen und somit auch besten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.

Casa molto bella, con interessanti spazi esterni, vista mare e sulle montagne di Topolia. Nei dintorni delle tipiche taverne greche, negozietti e supermarket. L’ubicazione è molto comoda perché permette di andare in meno di un’ora alle spiagge più rinomate dell’isola. Raccomando senza esitare questo alloggio!

Amazing place to stay and relax. We came to the area for the hiking and wild flowers in spring. I have never seen so many different orchids in one area. The apartment was wonderfully comfortable and so relaxing to come back to. A little luxury !

The is a family house, simple, pleasent and authentic. The natural surroundings are amazing. The silence is incredible. Meni and Andreas, the owners, are very nice people and we felt the love they invested in every detail. Thanks 🙏

Luisa's place is a magnificent little gem nestled in an amazing surrounding. It's the perfect hideout if you enjoy the tranquility of village life and hiking the mountains. The little house is beautifully decorated with local materials and furniture, giving it a warm and cozy feel. The view from the terrace is breathtaking! (also for looking at the stars at night) We thoroughly enjoyed our hikes in the mountains and gorges, and dining at the family tavernas in the neighbouring towns/villages, which offered delicious food. Luisa was extremely helpful and responsive, providing us with a long list of excellent recommendations for restaurants, day trips, shopping, and more. Thanks for everything, Luisa! We will certainly come back!

We had an amazing stay! The views are incredible and even better than the photos! We enjoyed eating our breakfast looking out at the mountains. It’s so peaceful and private. Niki and Yerasimos were great hosts, so friendly and kind & we loved how they personally met us and even had homemade biscuits waiting for us, a really nice touch. They also gave their own recommendations which was so helpful as it meant we visited some local beaches we’d not have gone to otherwise and they were beautiful! We also visited the local taverna a couple of times which is just a short walk away so really convenient and they did great food! The place was cosy, comfy and clean. Overall it was the best airbnb visit either of us have had!

Επιλέξαμε το χώρο του Κώστα, καθώς ταξιδεύουμε με τα σκυλιά μας. Μας άρεσε, γιατί δίνει την αίσθηση οτι πας επίσκεψη σε φιλικό σπίτι στην εξοχή. Ο κήπος και ο χώρος γύρω από το σπίτι είναι πολύ όμορφα και επιτρέπουν να κάτσεις όλες τις ώρες της ημέρας. Η κουζίνα έχει ηλεκτρική κουζίνα με φούρνο, κανονικό ψυγείο και πολλά μαγειρικά σκεύη . Στο υπνοδωμάτιο υπάρχει ένα ημίδιπλο κρεβάτι, με άνετο στρώμα και στο καθιστικό ένας καναπές - που γίνεται κρεβάτι. Το μπάνιο είναι σχετικά μικρό, αλλά έχει ανακαινιστεί. Το σπίτι είναι κοντά σε σούπερ μάρκετ, αλλά και σε κεντρικό δρόμο.

Unser Urlaub bei Lambros war voller Natur und Ruhe. Wir waren zu 5 dort und hatten viel Platz. Die Räume teilen sich auf zwei Häuser auf, die durch den wunderschönen Pool getrennt sind. Wir wurden mit frischem Obst, Wein, selbstgemachtem Öl und einem gefüllten Kühlschrank begrüßt. Außerdem stand ein warmes Essen für uns bereit. Lambros kommt alle 2-3 Tage nach Rücksprache und kümmert sich um den Pool. Besucht wurden wir von ein paar schüchternen Katzen. Die Kommunikation mit Lambros war super. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We had a fantastic two nights stay at Vivi's who is a ever so positive and proactive host together with her lovely husband. She so much took care of our needs and "fed us like her children" :) The apartment is quietly situated and is a gem to all lovers of cats and dogs.

Basil House is a beautiful, hidden gem in Kastri and we really enjoyed our stay here! The house is incredibly spacious, AC in every room and the VIEWS are wonderful. Also there are a lot of cute cats on the property. You can reach the village and the beach within 15-20 minutes and there you'll find everything you need. Haris was a very good host who gave us great recommendations. We highly recommend staying at Basil House! :)

Such a fantastic week at Villa Michail, Kalliopi was so welcoming and warm, giving us a full tour of the facilities, and Dimitra was extremely prompt in communication to answer any questions we had. The villa itself is high in the mountains, with exceptional views from multiple angles of the surrounding mountains and greenery. Kalliopi and Michail have renovated the property to a very high standard, retaining numerous features and belongings of when it has been passed through generations of their family. It made our honeymoon really special and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone else. Thank you again!

Charis hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und uns viele Tipps gegeben. Die Aussicht ist traumhaft, ein weiter Blick aufs Meer und die Landschaft, verschiedene Strände sind in Fußnähe. Das Haus ist auf einem tollen Grundstück gelegen mit vielen verschiedenen Sitzmöglichkeiten und Privatsphäre. Von hier aus lassen sich viele wunderbare Wanderungen unternehmen. Zum Beispiel die Küstenwanderung ums Kap Kako Mouri und zum Kalypso Strand ist fantastisch. Plakias selbst fanden wir etwas zu touristisch, obwohl wir in der Nebensaison da waren. Das Wetter kann zudem Anfang/Mitte April noch sehr wechselhaft und stürmisch sein. Für Urlaube in Plakias können wir das Haus in jedem Fall empfehlen!

We had a great stay at Olga’s place in Kalo Chorio. It was such a short drive to the beach (or a walk if you prefer) that we went every day. The apartment was perfect for a holiday. The village was peaceful and quiet, so a good way to escape the busy cities. Olga was the perfect host.

Eine der schönsten Unterkünfte in der wir bisher waren! Das kleine Haus ist abgelegen, komplette Ruhe & entschleunigung! Wir haben die Tage hier sehr genossen, die Terrasse unterm Haus lädt dazu ein in der Sonne zu liegen, zu lesen und den Ausblick zu genießen. Der Ausblick ist grandios, sogar vom Bett aus. Der Weg ist abenteuerlich und nichts für schwache Nerven mit dem Auto - extrem steil und eher für Geländewagen, wir haben es aber hingekriegt auch mit einem kleinen Mietwagen. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet und alles was man braucht ist da. Nach Mochlos ist es zu Fuß ca. 15 Minuten! Sehr empfehlenswert für alle die Ruhe suchen!

Almyriki Studio ist eine perfekte Unterkunft für Menschen die Ruhe und Entspannung abseits von Touristen-Trubel suchen. Die Unterkunft ist für zwei Personen sehr, sehr schön und entspricht vollständig den Beschreibungen. Der Strand (30m) war wunderschön und mit ca. 1km Länge und mit ca. 20 Menschen leer. In Sindonia gab es bis Ende Oktober eine Taverne am Strand, die viel von Einheimischen besucht wurde und super gute heimische Gerichte hat, aber auch sehr gute Standards liefert (Pizza, etc.)! Im Umkreis von 20 km gibt es etliche Bergwanderungen die eine sehr gute und spannende Alternative zum Strand sind. Alles in allem, sehr empfehlenswert!

Ligt midden in een rustig dorp met een super restaurant, dat wel vanaf 29.10. sluit. Maar standaard bar en café blijven net als de supermarkt gewoon open. Leuk verblijf met verschillende leuke zitplaatsen buiten (ochtend koffie achter het huis in de zon -heerlijk eind oktober). Enig minpunt, dat als je ‘s avonds met z’n 4 binnen zit, op de bank maar 3 personen passen, maar dat kan jij gelukkig aanvullen met een van de stoelen van buiten. Verder mis ik een teil om met wat minder water de vaat te kunnen doen. Maar voor de rest 100% tevreden met deze fantastische accommodatie…

superbe petite maison dans un village de moyenne montagne très calme, on s'y sent bien comme à la maison. l'environnement est superbe, entouré de montagnes, très proche de Spili, charmant bourg, et des gorges splendides, et peu loin de belles plages, avec beaucoup de sentiers de randonnée. un supermarché à Armani (à 10 km) est très bien ainsi qu'une bonne boulangerie. il y a aussi ce qu'il faut à Spili. un endroit qu'on a quitté avec regret.

Een fijn verblijf direct gelegen aan het strand. Veel ruimte en rust. Ook voor de kids voldoende te spelen, zowel binnen als buiten.

Gonia is a great, quiet village. Perfect for a relaxing getaway after the chaos of the more populated areas of Greece, yet still close enough to get to the other areas of Crete that we wanted to visit. The host is a super-host for a reason! She brought us fresh produce from her garden throughout our stay, including the most beautiful tomatoes that we had ever seen. The house is very quaint and the stone keeps it cooler during the very hot summer months. The outdoor space offered here is wonderful for relaxing, either downstairs in the shade or upstairs in the sun in the hammock or at the second dinner table. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!
