Curlew Cottage, a Grade 2 listed south facing cottage dating from around 1790 in the small village of West Bretton. An easy walk to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park & a short drive or bus trip to The Hepworth in Wakefield. The National Mining Museum & Cannon Hall Farm are nearby, Peak District National Park, Leeds, York, Sheffield also within easy reach. Just 1 or 2 miles from M1 Junction 38 & 39. Refurbished to a high standard retaining many original features, with oak beams & open country views.

A moorland retreat in the Dark Peak

Welcome to one of the Peak District's best kept secrets - the Ewden Valley - which is a mixture of wild moorland and lush woodland. It's off the tourist trail and yet not far from the attractions in the National Park. It's fabulous for walking, cycling, riding (field for horses) and birdwatching. The Barn comprises of a double bed and wc/basin on the lower ground and a staircase takes you to the lounge and dining area upstairs. There is also a fully stocked honesty bar. Semi rural location which is located near the major link roads. Close to Wentworth Woodhouse, Cannon Hall, Yorkshire Sculpture Park and the famous Rob Royds farm shop just across the road, where you can enjoy delicious food.

Newly renovated, cosy and freshly furnished stone cottage in the Peak District. Exposed beams, thick walls, lovely views. Beautiful, quiet countryside setting. Perfect for walkers and bikers. Leave the car and step straight onto lakes, moorland, crags and woodland. 2 bedrooms sleeps 4 (double, 2 single/king). Extensively equipped kitchen. Bathroom has large shower and roll top bath. Castleton Derbyshire Peak District Cottage ❤️ Dogs

Our lovely little cottage is about 200 years old. It's cosy and slap bang in the middle of some of the best scenery the UK has to offer. Excellent for walking, cycling or simply site seeing the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District National Park. Castleton is such a pretty little town with it's own castle, 7 watering holes (all dog friendly) fabulous restaurants and delightful cafes. We are situated between Bakewell and Buxton. Kingfisher Cottage is attached to Bridge House, situated in the Peak District village of Bamford and benefits from a beautiful view of the River Derwent. The Cottage, which is within walking distance of Bamford train and bus station and local shops, has it's own garden and seating area on the bank of the river. The Cottage has private access and parking is available. Fly fishing is also available by arrangement with hosts.

The setting of this cosy small detached cottage is beautiful and you feel quite secluded, yet the village of Edale is 1 minute walk away. From here you can enjoy the countryside by walking or biking, short or longer routes. There is a folder in the cottage with a selection of maps, which you are welcome to use and choose a route straight from the door. There are two pubs, two cafes and a general store in the village.
