Huisjes in Delamere Forest

We have just returned from a week at The Piggery and can honestly say it was the best UK holiday we have ever had. The Piggery has everything you need and we felt at home straight away. The location is wonderful. If you like hiking, you will love this place. We walked for miles and miles and still found different routes each day. The mountain you see in the distance is walkable but a hard climb. The views are worth it though! I would recommend downloading Kamoot and creating routes to explore. You won’t get lost and everywhere is dog friendly. The Chainbridge hotel was a perfect spot to grab a beer and a pinot blush after a long relaxing walk and then it’s a 2 min stroll to your waiting hot tub! Honestly can’t rave about this place enough. We will definitely be back.

Everything about our stay has been utterly perfect. Having stayed in many Airbnb’s, this is certainly one of the best. All of the little details have been thought through, from the lovely and generous welcome package, to having plenty of logs available for the hot tub and even extra hot tub towels provided. The outside area is so well looked after that we just wanted to stay in the garden. We didn’t feel the need to leave the cottage at all! What made our experience even better was just how lovely, friendly and helpful Amy has been. I think this will be an annual trip for our family. Thanks so much again 😊

Had a wonderful 2 nights staying in the cottage on a working farm. It felt really peaceful but was also only a 5-10 min drive to Ruthin. We stayed here so we could go walking in the Clwydian Range, this was around a 15-20 min drive depending on which car park we wanted to start the walk from, but it was all perfect for us. We even found a short local walk from the cottage itself along a public footpath. The cottage was very well equipped, we used the kitchen each evening, and it was a lovely cozy space. The cottage was immaculate and we really enjoyed the hot tub, and watching the horses nearby. Richard and Ceri were lovely and welcoming hosts and we'd highly recommend the rural retreat.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We would definitely stay again and will be recommending our families and friends to stay.

Another lovely stay at the lodge, with multi generational family having downstairs bedroom/ bathroom making this accessible. Enjoyed evening hot tubs and card games in the conservatory. Nice day out to Llangollen and shopping in Shrewsbury. Thanks

I've always been a bit nervous about doing an Air BnB but I shouldn't have worried. Communication was great. I had some questions about the home, got rub and local area and I always got a speedy response. The hot tub was a major plus. Really enhanced our stay and it was a huge hit. The weather certainly helped and there was everything we needed in the home if not more! I would potentially return here again. Thank you!

Beautiful 2 days sleeping under the stars, of which two were shooting stars. Close to Dovestones for a good hike and literally 5 reservoirs within 2 minutes walk. Very quiet, peaceful and beautiful interior. Would definitely recommend.

This was possibly the best Airbnb we have stayed in in terms of comfort, and quality of the fixtures and fittings and equipment. Everything was good quality, clean, and worked! Also no artificial fragrances, air fresheners etc- a big plus for us. Martin was very responsive eg kindly came over and adjusted the heating for us straight away. Plattin Inn is in a great location for walks in the beautiful surroundings. The adjacent road was busier than we expected though; lots of traffic especially during rush hours. This was the only negative; overall it was an excellent place and we both loved living there for a week. Thank you!

We had a lovely stay. The house was spotless on arrival and the extras for breakfast were a really nice touch. The location on the canal was beautiful and we enjoyed the walk into Chester along the canal path. We visited both the Cheshire Cat and Ring O Bells in Christleton, both were a short walk from the cottage. The Sunday lunch at Ring O Bells was superb !! We would def recommend booking this airbnb for anyone visiting the area.

Absolutely loved our stay at trespass. The cottage was so well equipped, everything you could need had been provided. The cottage itself was a perfect size for a couple, so lovely and quaint, and the location is amazing. We could walk to everywhere and explore the countryside without having to drive. The bed was also extremely comfy. Would highly recommend

What a lovely stay we had at Rachel’s place! Wisteria cottage and the rest of their property is gorgeous and they put so much care and attention into it. The cottage was clean, adorable, peaceful and quiet and we would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality!

The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. It was well equipped. Great location with lots to do. Enjoyed a good curry at Village Spice in Corwen and walks around Llangollen.

Thank you Jane, Welcomed upon arrival. We’d had a long journey & Jane came over briefly and explained everything to us concisely & wished us a lovely stay! Superb location that included beautiful strolls along the fields! Great for walking & getting lost in the beautiful scenery. Jane’s place was spotless! Bedding & towels were lovely. Could not find one downside anywhere. The waterfall Three Shires is a five minute drive (cafe along the roadside). We parked up & took a lovely hour stroll to find it! Our first trip to a waterfall & not the last. Very attractive place & great location. The village of Leek was around a 10 minute drive & has everything in it that you need! Thank you Jane.

We absolutely loved our stay with Ruth. The cottage is very comfortable and cozy and has all the amenities you could need or want, but if you were missing something, I’m sure Ruth would get it for you! She and her husband were very friendly and we had a great time chatting with them. She gave us great recommendations for places to visit and places to eat. We feel like we’ve made lifelong friends and we definitely plan to come back!

It was our second stay here and we loved as much as the first time we fell in love with it. Amazing location for sunrise and sunset and the donkeys and giddy goats are always good companyv

A really lovely place to stay! Clean, tidy and peaceful surroundings. Jane was a brilliant host, checking we had everything we needed and always available if we had any questions. Checking In/Out was easy, with clear instructions along with additional information about the accommodation (heating, Wi-Fi etc.). Massive lounge area on the first floor, and the kitchen has all the appliances you need. We would definitely stay there again, and would highly recommend it anyone.

Lovely place which had everything we needed. We have an anxious and reactive dog but this place was just perfect. It was safe with a contained garden. Owners responsive and accommodating.

very nice cottage with amazing views surrounded by nature. flat was kept very warm which my friends and i appreciated a lot :) great communication and step by step guide to check in / settle in. would definitely recommend

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Cosy and clean space. Julie was really easy to communicate with and there was some nice touches like the mini hamper left for us. Our toddler enjoyed her stay too and it's a good location to get to a few different family attractions

Clear and detailed instructions from Joanne as to how to get to the property, very friendly and responsive. Really clean, quality furnishings, spotlessly clean. Perfect location for Alton Towers, where we were going and way better value than others nearby. Thank you x
