Alex was a wonderful host! The campsite was exactly as described and the directions were easy to follow. Alex was there when I arrived to show me around, and he even offered to help take stuff to my campsite. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Beautiful sunset views. The kitchen, sauna and common space are very thoughtfully equipped and maintained. We came back for a second stay and would be back again. Kyle is a lovely host, so nice and helpful!

We can’t recommend a stay at Laura’s property more highly! She has created a magical oasis at Gatherwild. The property and its surroundings are stunning, and offer plenty to do and see without ever leaving (beautiful walking trails, friendly farm animals, vegetable gardens, games and crafts)— our kids were in heaven. The location is also ideal, close to lots of great food, culture, and nature. Sleeping quarters were clean and comfy, and the communal kitchen and bathroom were well-stocked. It made for a seamless glamping experience with our kids. Laura was a wonderful host and we hope to come back soon!

Such a great experience. Peaceful and serene. I’m so glad we made the trip (6.5 hours) and definitely will be back for a longer stay! It’s so inviting, Laura was an amazing host responding quickly to inquiries. I will definitely be recommending this get away.

Great place to camp within 30 minutes of Ricketts Glen State Park. Supper happy I found the place!

This was very convenient for my appointments at Johns Hopkins. We used the fire pit one night and Im sure it is a nice house in the summer with the large pool and deck. The kitchen was large and even had some food if you forgot anything. It was just the two of us but you can rent the above upstairs for another bathroom and other rooms available. They are locked off if you don't rent them. Im a pillow snob so I bring my own pillows since I sleep with a lot of them which I recommend if you love extra pillows like me. The shower was nice and hot and the place is clean.

The tent and surrounding woods are quite lovely. There is a little creek nearby. There is a large pond that you can swim in (shallow and very au natural). The tent itself looks just like the photos: basic, with a queen size bunk bed. There are cute fairy lights inside the tent that make it feel cozy, and Peter has also supplied a couple of flashlights, which I thought was considerate. Easy to find (well-marked from the road). My two kids (ages 7 and 9) loved the place and can't wait to go back. I feel it was slightly overpriced for what it is. But we did have a lovely stay.

The hosts put a lot of thought into this place! A great spot to bring a group and just hang out for a night. It was a bit lonely for just me and my son. No access to hiking trails, and it was too cold to use the pool in October. Though it was nice falling asleep to the sound of crickets and waking up to the crowing of roosters.

We loved our stay at Bellfire and would love to come back to experience their other sites on the camp ground. Memories on the hammock with golden leaves falling down will be a core memory with my partner. 🍂🍁 Thank you for a magical stay! Appreciated all the thoughtful touches from the fresh drinking water in the room and propane and wood to purchase in the adorable shop on grounds. It made staying so easy and peaceful!

My family had a wonderful Easter weekend trip! It was our first time camping and we were very comfortable. Wayne was very kind and helpful. We will plan to stay again in the future!

A lovely quiet and secluded and private spot. So nice to camp without noisy camper neighbors and having to leash my dogs, Michael provided plenty of firewood for a nice fire each night and the tent is really big!

This was the perfect weekend getaway, especially for our toddler’s first camping experience. It was also super dog friendly, and our pup loved playing fetch in the creek. Gini and Kelly were incredible hosts. They even let our daughter feed their chickens, which was a special experience for us. They were both responsive to our needs and proactively went above and beyond to make it a great visit. We’re so happy!

Watching a fascinating video from 1988 (look up-CATSKILL GAME FARM JULY 1988) beforehand really set the mood, especially as we wandered through the playground and outdoor theater—it added an eerie but memorable touch to our adventure. Highly recommend this unique experience! The "nightlife" was vibrant and truly enhanced our experience, especially the unrecognizable animal calls; however, we felt completely safe and at ease the entire time! I hope you choose this experience!
