Beautiful huge house with stunning views. So quiet and peaceful. It was my first time in the place with farm around. Brilliant experience.

From start to finish we all loved our stay in the cottage. Lovely surroundings, very peaceful and extremely clean. Could not fault anything and would like to return again someday. I would love to know where the mattresses were from, I slept in 2 beds and woke up without a bad back!

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The house was incredibly spacious—perfect for a big group or family getaway. The garden was beautiful and well-kept, offering a lovely outdoor space to relax. Everything was sparkling clean, and the place had almost every amenity we could ask for. Clearly well maintained and thoughtfully prepared. A special shoutout to our host, Jade—she was amazing! Super responsive and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. She wouldn’t even take a minute to respond to our questions. Truly made the experience even better. We would definitely love to visit again!

Fabulous stay here at Easter everything about the house exactly as described. Margaret kept in touch along the way and check-in was easy just as explained. Plenty of space for 5 guests and extra bonus the hot tub. Downside though due to location, tried to order a takeaway using one of the leaflets in the house but when rang them they said they didn’t deliver that far. So take along plenty of provisions!!!

We loved our stay. The house (Byre) is beautiful and far more spacious than photos give credit for. Added bonus for us, wheelchair accessable from patio doors into kitchen/dinning/lounge area. Wheelchair accessible into downstairs bathroom/shower and bedroom. There is a shower stool in cupboard next to bathroom. The upstairs landing area has a cosy couch/snug between bedrooms and upstairs toilet/Shower room. Beautiful scenory surrounding Cottages and we all completely felt at home and relaxed instantly. House very clean and fresh. Stranraer in walking distance with pavement at road end of cottages. Lovely walking options around cottages. Kitchen comes very well equipped and decent sized fridge freezer. We look forward to returning.

Great house for our family Christmas, really spacious for the 7 of us, has everything you need , Craig is a great host very friendly and quickly responded to any messages, was the perfect house for what we needed.

We had a great time staying. Carolines house is lovely and had everything we needed for a long weekend. Throughout our stay there was a problem with hot tub which was out of Caroline's hands but she made sure to compensate with a meal on her which was very much appreciated. Lots of lovely little touches and gifts around the house. Would definitely come back and see this place in the warmer weather thanks for having us.

Thank you very much for allowing us to celebrate in your amazing house. The house itself was spotless, comfortable beds, hot tub was amazing! Hot tub was the hottest one I’ve ever used and it didn’t cool down as quickly as others. It was lovely at night with the fairy lights and LED lights too. The little touches were appreciated: tea, coffee, sugar, bread, butter and jam. Thank you! Dougie was fantastic, quick response. All checkin/out was clear. Instructions for the hot tub were easy to follow. We loved the book shelf with various titles and that there were board games to keep us entertained too. It’s so peaceful. We are already talking about visiting again.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Pictures do not do this place justice, easily one of the nicest if not the nicest AirBnb I’ve ever stayed in. Great amenities for 4 adults and a big big hot tub! It was so peaceful being able to look out of the windows / decking and watch the wildlife too. Can’t wait to revisit, thankyou!

The cabin was absolutely spotless! Had everything we needed for a few days and with such a beautiful view. The hosts went above and beyond and were great with communication. I would definitely recommend!

Great place to stay. Stayed at Pod 3, amazing view of the river, arrived very late and Catherine had the hot tub and pod all warmed up for our late arrival. Although the pod doesn’t get hot as such, hot water bottles were provided and a big fire pit was readily available. Failing that, a hot shower or a dip in the hot tub . Fantastic two nights away, will definitely be coming back!

A 1,000 characters isn't enough to describe how magical this place was. It was so peaceful & serene, it is the ideal place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of life. You could sit and watch the view for hours and not get bored. The facilities were more than enough, no issues with solar power despite charging phones often/using the lights. The shower is luxurious and the toilet feels the same as a regular one! Emma was responsive & friendly, if we needed her at any point I would've been comfortable messaging. I didnt though as everything was perfect. I fell in love with the interior and all the gorgeous details, we enjoyed some board games and books too. Having a visit from Rocket was lovely, she was so friendly and well behaved! We will definitely be back here - the journey is easy even if you don't drive. Rob was nice enough to pick us up from the station on our way there, however the bus is reliable and takes you right to the door step. I can't wait until next time :-)

Had an absolutely lovely stay at the cabin, David was a great host, very responsive and welcoming. The hot tub after a long walk up Carrock had to be the highlight of the stay. Would recommend to anyone wanting a restful time away in a beautiful location.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Sarah & Mark were amazing hosts. They were very friendly and helpful when needed. The place itself was absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful, with the most beautifu view ofl sunset over the sea I've ever seen - defo reccomend sitting in the hot tub whilst the sun goes down if you stay here. Overall, probably one of the nicest air b&b we've stayed in!

Knows lodge is exactly how Tracy decried it, it has spectacular views, is peaceful and beautiful throughout. Tracy and Philip have done a wonderful job creating This beautiful piece of heaven. Me and my partner loved sitting in the chair taking in the scenery. The Wood fired hit tub was new to us but once we grasped it, it was simply stunning. Knowe lodge has everything you could need. We popped into Wigtown which Philip informed us about (Philip is extremely lively and can tell you everything you need to know) and enjoyed looking through the many book stores, we had coffee and cake at reading lasses charge which was incredible then drove to visit the red deer and wild goats. We can’t wait to go back to Knowe lodge, we didn’t want to leave. Thankyou Tracy and Philip

A beautiful cabin. There was a gorgeous walk to the beach and in the forest. We saw deer on our walk and the river was beautiful. Dog friendly, and my dog was super smiley the whole time! The hot rob was cleaned whilst we were there and was lovely and warm. Unfortunately we weren’t blessed with great weather, but even so, there was plenty to do! The cabin was immaculate, although some extra bin bags would have been useful as there was only one small bin outside and we were there for three nights. I also found that the cutlery and plates weren’t super clean as they leave the last people staying to clean these. Overall a wonderful stay, super relaxing and quiet. The hosts were helpful and replied quickly. Would definitely recommend!
