Whether for a short break or weeks stay you can enjoy all that this area has to offer as Calla Beach House makes a great base to tour and sample the beauty of Connemara.

Big John's Cottage, Doohulla, Ballyconneely

Located opposite Doohulla Pier this 3 bedroom cottage is nestled between the Twelve Bens and the Atlantic Ocean, boasting sea views and breathtaking mountain views of the Twelve Pins. You will have a 5 minute walk to the beach, a 5 minute drive to Ballyconneely village and a 10 minute drive to the seaside village of Roundstone. Family friendly, good wifi, Smart TV, ample outside garden space in the most amazing surroundings. The perfect, comfortable base for exploring Connemara and beyond.

Waters Edge

Staying at Waters Edge is the perfect place to relax, wind down and breath the clean fresh Atlantic air, whilst enjoying stunning views across the bay. Located metres from the seat front, with steps down to the beach, just over 1 kilometre to Ballyconneely and also situated between the picturesque towns of Clifden and Roundstone. It provides visitors with plenty to explore and enjoy. The house has recently been refurbished to a high standard. Including two en-suites with under floor heating.

Suas Thuas, at Dogs Bay beach, Roundstone.

Possibly one of the most beautiful views and locations overlooking Dogs bay beach and sitting at the foot of Errisbeg hill, 6 minute drive from the picturesque fishing village of Roundstone. Surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery on the west coast of Ireland. Looking out across the Atlantic Ocean at the Aran islands, gurteen beach and dogs bay beach. Hill climbing to the rear and beach walks to the front of the cottage, there are possibly few locations to compare with this cottage

Clifden, The Barn on the Wild Atlantic Way.

The Barn is a unique old stone barn but modern, with an open plan sitting/kitchen/ eating area with cathedral ceiling and a long narrow window overlooking the Salt Lake to one side, a small window looking down to the sea on the other. There are two bedrooms and a wet room style bathroom (no bathtub) but plenty of hot water and underfloor heating. It is wonderfully quiet, a real retreat for those who just want to escape. Roundstone , landgoed aan zee

Bijzonder landhuis met eigen parkbos en overtuin aan zee. Vooral natuurliefhebbers en rustzoekers zijn hier welkom. Ideale accommodatie voor families (16 bedden!) of vrienden groep. Roundstone ligt op 15 minuten loopafstand, hier kunt boodschappen doen of dineren buiten de deur. Vanuit het huis zijn vele mooie wandelingen mogelijk, begin vooral met een wandeling in eigen tuin, er zijn vele wandelpaden te vinden. Aan zee is van alles te beleven (zeehonden!)

Ballindooley Castle

The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels
