This space is billed as an artists retreat and that is exactly what it is. It’s spacious, very quiet and very private. It’s nestled in the mountains and you can hear a river right outside. It’s a fun place to live. The bed is upstairs in a loft and it’s a good mattress. The shower is hot. Everything is clean. There’s plenty of stuff to cook with in the kitchen and I would definitely come back.

What a magical retreat. We were in the area to watch our son’s final college swim meet and the quiet private master suite was just the place to relax between sessions. Nicks place was spotless with incredible views. We felt so warm, cozy and welcome that we didn’t even mind the frigid outside temps or snow. We are hoping to find ourselves back in the area again in the future to experience the area in warmer weather. Our hosts were gracious and responsive and we couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. We’ve been traveling across the USA and Europe using Airbnb and similar services for over 20 years, and without a doubt, what Mary has created at Heron Pointe on Silver Lake is a slice of paradise—the best place we’ve visited so far! You can feel Mary’s deep love for this magical retreat and her genuine care for her guests even through the listing description and beautifully captured photos. She thoughtfully anticipates every guest's need, from the delightful welcome basket and thoughtful treats to the cozy rugs and blankets provided for stargazing. Every detail is designed to make you feel at home while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. We were absolutely enchanted by this place—words simply can't capture how extraordinary our stay was. You have to experience this serene dreamland yourself!

This is probably my 5th+ review lol. Always a favorite and go-to spot. Danielle’s place is cozy, has all the essentials, and is centrally located. My dogs always love the fenced in yard and go bananas when it snows.

Staying at this retreat was truly an unforgettable experience. Kyle was incredibly helpful, checking in periodically to make sure everything was going smoothly, which made me feel even more at home. Everything about the place was perfect. The views were almost unreal, like something out of a dream. The people of Elizabethtown were warm and welcoming. The space itself was spotless, and the atmosphere felt cozy, peaceful, and genuinely homely. Kyle also provided clear and thoughtfully laid-out instructions, so you’ll have everything you need right at your fingertips. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Also, make sure to visit the local library while you’re there. It’s a hidden gem that adds even more charm to the experience.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this amazing home! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience. The house was not only impeccably clean but also beautifully decorated, creating a welcoming and tranquil atmosphere. The homeowners went above and beyond to make us feel at home and welcomed. Their warm hospitality and thoughtful touches made us feel like we were staying with friends rather than just renting a property. The highlight for my boys was definitely the dock and paddle boat. They spent hours fishing and exploring the waters. It was the perfect way for us to connect and unwind. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We left with wonderful memories and hope to return again. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!

I didn’t get to meet Nancy but she was quick to respond and able to accommodate my last minute request. The space is cozy and comfortable, perfect for a weekend getaway, small kitchenette that is fully stocked and easy to cook in. Maybe I missed that space is in the basement so no cell service but wifi was fine and there’s service once you’re outside. Nonetheless we enjoyed our time and everything else was great!

2nd time staying here!! Such a great place to stay & so conveniently located close to town. We always walk into town in the mornings. One thing I love is how cozy and at home this place feels like. Jill is always a lovely host.

We loved our stay at Lana’s place! Cutest little chalet in beautiful surroundings, private & quiet. Lana was so helpful and responsive, too. I highly recommend staying here if you want to visit the Adirondacks!
