Wat je gaat doen
Learn about the history of food in Modern Singapore, from it’s founding in 1819 by Sir Stamford Raffles through to the present day. You will enjoy 10+ foodie tastings in 5.5 hours across 4 districts of Singapore.
Start your food tour in the East Coast Area of Singapore. Learn about the early Chinese immigrants to Singapore. The focus will be on food but we will also talk about the types of jobs that they had, how they lived and who they married.
In this district, we will enjoy a selection of Singapore’s favourite foods with Chinese and Peranakan heritage including Kaya Toast and Kopi, Bak Chang, Kuehs and Laksa.
Next, we travel to the Old Airport Road Hawker Centre, a firm favourite amongst Singaporeans. Here we try two of three distinctly Singaporean dishes, Hokkien Mee, Rojak and Carrot Cake.
Our next stop is Kampong Glam, the centre of the Malay community. We will discuss the history of the district and we will try the most popular local foods from the Malay and Arabic communities.
Our fourth stop is Little India. We will discover why the Indian community choose to settle in this district and will be trying some popular Indian dishes including Dosa, Sweets and Masala Mi

Our guide was Gee Soo and he was a gem! He made us feel welcome and comfortable from the beginning and his excitement and passion to share his knowledge was contagious. He was thoughtful throughout the tour and he had answers for every question we had regarding food and culture. He kindly tailored our tour because there were only two in our group and we were ahead of schedule. It was awesome to knock out a bunch of must-eats in a few hours. This is a great way to get the most out of a short trip to Singapore and Gee Soo made this the best thing we did on our trip. He even took pictures for us from his camera and uploaded and emailed them late the same night and told us to contact him should we have any problems while on our own.

Su Ling was so great! I loved the tour and all of the great food we tried. If you’re a foodie that does extensive research, you may not need to do a tour in general, but if you want a great time without researching, then you’re in good hands.

My husband and I are huge foodies, and we knew we needed to do a food tour on our trip to Singapore. There are an abundance of good tours available, however the number of neighborhoods covered by this tour really stood out from the others - along with the amazing reviews!
The reviews are all correct - there is a ton of food, so make sure to pace yourself! Everything we ate and drank throughout the trip was delicious, and we tried a few new treats that we are now trying to hunt down in San Francisco because they were so good. We also learned a lot about the history of Singapore and felt really immersed in the culture and history of the country.
This tour is not to be missed!

Great tour! Very professional and knowledgeable. We got to see several different neighborhoods and eat a lot. It was well paced so it made it easier to eat all the different foods, with explanations of the city and culture mixed in. Our guide Daryl was very friendly and did a good job building friendship among the people taking the tour (5 guests total).
