Okinawa is famous for longevity. Living in Okinawa for more than 10 years, I found the traditional Okinawan dishes were the key for longevity. As a professional of food, I will teach not only how to cook but also the nutritional benefits of Okinawan vegetables, seaweed, herbs and other.
Waar je naartoe gaat
The site is my apartment. It is located in front of the historical site (Sogenji temple stone gate, an important cultural asset of Okinawa). We will walk together from the station. It takes about 10 minutes from the station.

Masumi was really helpful and caring. She cares about the food restriction we had and replace the pork with tuna which tasted really good.! It was really a wonderful experience to learn the way to cook and eat local Okinawan food, while at the same time talking and sharing with a friendly local. It's extremely heart warming for all Masumi had done for us. Thx so much! See you next time!

Masumi met me and a couple of other participants at a monorail station near her apartment. After a short walk we arrived at her apartment where she had everything nicely organized for the class. After a brief discussion of Okinawan cooking traditions and an explanation of what we were going to be doing, we started preparing the food. We made several different dishes and sat down together for a delicious Okinawan meal. Masumi is a very gracious host and do a great job teaching us. It was wonderful to get to know the other participants too. We really bonded together by the time we were done. This was a first class experience that I will not soon forget.

I loved how this wasn't your typical cooking class. I really enjoyed learning about healthy and traditional Okinawan dishes, as well as how the foods affect your inner health and beauty. Masumi-san's English is perfect, so you'll have no issue if you do not speak Japanese. She is also very creative with her recipes and they are easy enough for anyone to do - even beginners! I really enjoyed my time and can't wait for Masumi-san to hold classes here in Los Angeles! :)

I will prepare aprons for you. The class is basically in English but I understand basic Mandarin.
