Wat je gaat doen
There will be two main modes of transportation: in a train and a car, which is my private vehicle. We will head to a market first - where you will see Malay traders selling their local produce. Be tempted with the arrays of local Malay cakes (locally known as 'kuih') and traditional tit-bits which we will definitely sample them. Our next stop is to have lunch at a Malay village or "kampung" where you will be astounded by the vast array of traditional Malay dishes numbering about 20 types. They range from grilled fish (ikan bakar), rendang, traditional roast chicken (ayam percik) to assorted spice (sambal) dishes to name a few. About 5 choices will be selected to tempt your palates. Islam is central to the Malay culture. I will take you on a guided tour at a local mosque nearby. There you will have a better understanding of the faith and cultural practices of Malaysian Muslims. Be enthralled by the architecture of this mosque which incorporates a blend of Malay architectural styles, Ottoman and Middle Eastern influence. Here's an experience not to be missed!
