I was born and raised in Kyoto. I love eating and traveling.
Coming from a family which produce kimonos and other traditional clothing, I had a natural inclination to design kimonos.
I have over 20 years of experience designing and producing kimonos that are easy to wash.

Kimonos are renowned to be difficult to put on.
Some of the kimonos and obi-belts we create are designed to be much easier to dress oneself in.

I welcome all those who have an interest to see our range of beautiful kimonos and yukatas.

We enjoyed our time with Noriyo. Both ladies helped us purchase yukata. My husband didn't plan to get anything but they were so helpful he was trying different things and soon found something even he liked. I was worried about fit but she really took the time to put me at ease beforehand so I could show up and simply enjoy the experience. I would definitely recommend this if you are like me and curious about Japanese dress but don't know how to go about having something to take home. Noriyo is an expert!

It was a great experience to learn how kimono and yukata is worn. It’s a great place to chose one for yourself while trying different styles. If you are interested in kimonos and yukatas - skip vintage stores, come here and you’ll know what and how you should wear and get to chose from a wide array of garments. Noriyo and her colleagues were very friendly, informative, helpful and patient with me and I feel very grateful for them.

The experience with Noriyo and her team was amazing. Not only did I feel like a very special guest, but also did I find THE kimono I was looking for. I was able to send Noriyo a photo of a style I liked beforehand. She asked my measurement and was prepared upon my arrival. She showed me how to wear the kimono properly and I got all the necessary explanations. I felt a warm hospitaliy of the whole team.

My husband and I wanted to gain an authentic experience and learn the history of kimonos; our expectations were far exceeded! What a wonderful experience! With Noriyo accompanied Tabitha and Erica as our team to guide us through the different styles of kimonos, yukatas, and jinbeis. All three women were professional, experienced and welcomed us with such warm hospitality. The team took the time and truly made it such a unique and special experience. The team took the time to explain the different types of kimonos, yukatas and jinbeis, the history of the different types of attire and which style was preferred dependent upon what we were looking to wear the special attire for; hot weather, cold weather, simply to relax or just to have as a special gift. We were given a tour of the facility and the different options of colors and styles to our liking. The facility had every color combination of all styles of kimonos and yukatas along with all of the necessary accessories; hair pieces, obi, koshihimo, footwear, and the under garment needed to keep the kimono protected from excessive sweat. The team took the time to fully dress me in a kimono and really took to detail to what items I was looking for. The experience, knowledge and customer service was impeccable, immeasurable and truly exceptional! I had such a great time with the team, thank you so much to Noriyo, Tabitha and Erica for making us feel so welcomed! Best of all, I got to be fully dressed in a kimono by the experts! Blessings to you all!

first experience buying a kimono. noriyo and staff knows their craft so a personal session on how to dress in a kimono was very helpful. it is not just buying a kimono; it is about the culture that you take back home with you.
