Raised by a Japanese tea master, I've devoted my life to the art of traditional manners and "behaving beautifully." I teach 300-plus students a year in the Way of Tea, and own a crafts gallery in Yotsuya.

Kaori is very kind to accommodate my booking as it was not originally scheduled. I have attended tea ceremony before but this is the first time I have the details of the ceremony being explained to me in English. And she went beyond just the ceremony. The manner and meaning behind the actions were something I never knew before these lessons. She also made the effort to tailor the program according to the day's weather condition at the same time making sure I am comfortable and is having a good time. Over the two days, I feel I learnt a lot more than just tea ceremony. It is like chatting and spending time with a friend! If you have an interest in tea ceremony, I would strongly recommend this immersion to you.

Honestly I didn't expect this trip to be so amazing. This trip is a great way to try out and experince Japan's traditional culture. I really enjoyed it.

I had such a magical experience going on Kaori's immersion where I learned and experienced so much concerning traditional tea, its ceremony, and Kaiseki (traditional Japanese cuisine). We met at Shinjuku National Garden where Kaori walked us through the beautiful scenery and its history. At her beautiful tea gallery and studio, Kaori showed and taught in detail about the tradition and choreography of a tea ceremony. She was also very thorough in answering any of my questions and explaining the "why" in each movement or placement during the ceremony that helped me understand and be more conscious. Finally, Kaori taught about Kaiseki cuisine and how to prepare the delicious course. All in all, this experience was life changing for me and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to escape the busy hustle and bustle of everyday life and finding inner tranquility and peace through this beautiful art.
