Learn Tai Chi Gung exercises from a Yang Family Master in NYC's iconic Riverside Park (on the Hudson) or in Central Park South

We'll meet on Saturdays mornings at 11 a.m. @ The Soldiers & Sailors Monument in Riverside Park at 89th Street & Riverside Drive ... We'll meet at the Flag Pole on the South Plaza.

We'll meet late afternoons Wednesday @ 4 p.m. in Central Park @ Bolivar's Statue on the corner of 59th Street & 6th Avenue. Wear loose, comfortable clothing, flat shoes Bring sunglasses .

We'll begin with orientation & enter the park together walking to our training site to begin practicing Tai Chi Gung & Tai Chi Sports. As will be explained, each series of Tai Chi Gung movements is based on ancient Taoist principles for cultivating "Ch'i," i.e, vitality, or "Life Force"

The benefits of Tai Chi will be felt immediately from deep relaxation, improved balance, meditative concentration to a sense of physical & spiritual well-being. Bring water (and a snack, if you wish). No experience is necessary. Tai Chi Sports sessions are mentally active & dynamic but not excessively strenuous. Instruction given is appropriate for all ages, and available in various language

I have known Robert Morningstar for decades. I found him after studying with other tai chi teachers, looking for a Tai Chi master, and selected Robert to be my teacher. I continue to practice his unique Tai Chi teachings for decades and study with him whenever I return to New York City. Robert teaches method so that you can remember and so learn to correct and improve yourself easily. I have met many Tai Chi teachers since studying with Robert, and have not met a teacher or technique superior to Robert and the methods that he teaches. In addition, the Tai Chi games that Robert teaches provide invaluable skills which surprisingly are utilized unconsciously in emergencies. In addition, Robert has consulted with me on difficult neuropsychology cases, assisted by his wide-ranging knowledge base and analytical skills.

Robert was really awesome. He introduced us to a topic that we knew nothing about (Tai Chi.) Within an hour, I found myself being aware of my body in a way that I never have. I left with a sense of well being and positivity which has lasted even days later as I write this review. This was a great experience in the enchanting surroundings of Central Park.

I had a great time at Robert's class! He came across as the person who deeply loves and understandsTai Chi. He started studying Tai Chi with one of the best teaches originally from China many years ago, and have taught many students, some became teachers opened their own lessons program! Robert teaches Tai Chi as a system of movement and breathing that is beneficiary for one's health, helps focusing and recharging both mind and body. It is such a great way cope with stresses of everyday life! I recommend Robert's class to everyone, regardless of their familiarity or level of practice!
