A Perfect Escape – 6 Stars If I Could! I visited The Birdhouse for a much-needed getaway and mental escape. The house and the surrounding nature were exactly what I needed—and then some. The peaceful setting, beautiful amenities, relaxing hot tub, and countless spots to sightsee, read, or simply recharge were truly amazing. Planning to return with my family! Huge thanks to Austin and Katie for sharing their beautiful property. The Birdhouse is truly a must-see.

My family had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was super walkable to the beach and restaurants, cute decor, and met the amenities in the description. We would definitely stay there again in the future.

What a great place to stay for a weekend getaway with friends! Very roomy, hot tub was great, kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Everything in the place was very high quality!!

We had a great experience! The house was far enough from downtown Dells to be quite and peaceful but close enough to be convenient to everything. Jacob was extremely responsive. The house had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again.

Had a fantastic stay- our focus was hiking at Starved Rock and it was perfect for that. We’re thinking of a summer trip to kayak now as well. The townhouse is very cozy and the dining table was great for playing games with the family. Beds are comfortable and rooms are large. Our kid was excited to use the big jacuzzi tub for bath time. Plenty of counter space to cook together. Recommend bringing foil or plastic wrap as there is none available. Will need to have all ingredients on hand- there are no supplies left from previous guests with things like oil/Pam. Big grocery options are just a short drive away though. For those with electric cars, the Flying J has good level 2 chargers-not as fast as described in listings though. Saw Tesla chargers at the HyVee as well.

Excellent two night stay. We would reiterate everything the other commentators have said about The Loch at WhiskyWood. Our day was spent with a late breakfast, a one hour drive through Amish country to Horican Wildlife Refuge. Spring migration on the boardwalk trail is not to be missed. A return drive to Montello to see the falls, walk the lakefront trail and view Wisconsin's Tallest Tree (debatable). An Old Fashioned (A requirement for any Wisconsin vacation) at Rivers Edge Saloon, grocery stop at Freitags, then back to WhiskeyWood for grilled steak al fresco - indoors, but with the garage door open. It's the same thing. Evening thunderstorms finished the day. Such a great day and a spectacular cabin!

This was such a beautiful space. We felt very at peace and enjoyed all the space had to offer. Vincent was very responsive and helpful with instructions. Absolutely coming back again soon!

My sister, dog, and I had a great 2 night stay at the driftless trout cabin! We loved how cute the cabin was decorated inside and out. The area was secluded, quiet, and beautiful. We heard so many animals, including coyotes! My dog enjoyed going on long walks and exploring the spring that runs through the yard. Overall great stay! Many thanks, Kylee, Nola, & Prince 🐾

This is a beautiful house and Amanda has everything ready before our arrival. The house is clean and I just love the ecstatic. We have a lovely girl's night and would love to come back maybe a warmer summer time to check out the beach and outside. We were a little bit confused about the light switches though even Amanda already labeled everything.

Steve’s cottage was perfect for our overnight getaway! We were able to grill, enjoy a fire and just soak in the serenity of the beautiful lake! Met our needs perfectly and would highly recommend!

Everything was genuinely awesome. The cabin exceeded our expectations. The spring birds are very active. There are walking trails across the property that are kept in good condition. In addition there are quite a few attractions in the area as well. Potosi has a lovely brewery tour, Platville has a lot of fun attractions and Downtown Dubuque was a lot of fun on our last day after check out. We highly recommend everything.

I was in Rock Island for a quick trip and Catherine's place was a cozy spot to end my adventure. The view of the Rock River is wonderful and the deck looked charming--just wish it had been a bit warmer to enjoy it. I loved the vintage decor throughout--all the mushrooms were so cute--and slept well. Definitely a good spot if you're in the quad cities and want something that feels remote while still being close to everything.

Christmas in the Cozy Cabin this year was terrific. Clean, convenient, and a host who provided exactly what we needed. This was our third visit... And we'll be back!

Exactly as advertised. The campground is nice and quiet. The cabin was small, perfect for me as i stayed a week for work and didnt need much room. Very clean and had what i needed. Would definitely stay again if im working in the area.

Just a wonderful 3 day stay during a curling bonspiel in Columbia County. What a beautiful cabin tucked back in a private wooded area with a wealth of wildlife ( deer, turkeys, eagles). Melissa gets all the details right and takes away any worries associated with staying away from home. I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for something that feels like home. . Springbrook was the perfect cozy getaway we hoped it would be. The cabin is beautiful and had everything we needed. The location was very peaceful. We enjoyed a bonus parade of deer at twilight one evening. We are hoping to come back in the fall to enjoy the cabin again!

Our family absolutely loved this place. Enough space for everything, beautiful home. The best part was the setting, quiet and peaceful. We were able to enjoy coffee outside in the morning and watch the deer in the fields. We would absolutely love to stay here again. Great recommendations and Corey left some local items for us to try. We had an absolutely amazing and relaxing time! I'd recommend slippers, as the floor was a bit rough and easy to get slivers, and makes the walk to the BR nice. Couch was very uncomfy (dumps you forward), but we made do! Wish you could see the TV from the bed. Super peaceful. Fish pond was fun! Fish food in BR. Not very buggy outside. Mattress was VERY comfortable. Fridge was spacious enough. Coffee was good. Location is awesome, less that 15 mins from over 5 amazing beaches and lots of great restaurants and stores! Darrin was so helpful and friendly, going as far as adding birthday decor for mom! We definitely will visit again!

Loved our getaway from the city! This home was so cozy and clean. Loved the aesthetic and was the perfect home base for hiking at Devil’s Lake and Mirror Lake State Park. The sauna was perfect to relax in after our hikes. This place is a true gem! Jeremy was very helpful and responsive!
