There is a reef running parallel to the beach which makes for good snorkelling and fishing, also creating a lagoon during low tide which are perfect for swimming & other water activities. We have kept the original bricks and deliberately did not plaster them to keep the house rustic. Unsymmetrical paint too. 4 x 4 required for easy access to property from Bilene.

Situated on the Eastern side of Lagoa Uembje, Shongili Lodge is reached by an 8 minute boat ride over clear, clean waters from the Mozambique town of Biléne. Or for the adventurous drivers, an hour and a half scenic 4x4 or 2x4 drive from the same town. The lodge is run completely on solar power with water sourced from a well on the grounds, This may mean a little less appliances, but also an abundance of quiet reflection.

This is a magical place with total exclusivity if you are longing for that and adventure in an extraordinary setting. You have the lagoon as a calm private beach and you can take a 10 minutes walk to the wilder Indian Ocean. The house is perfect for a couple or a small family. From the Bilene village to the house you take a 10 minutes boat trip. If you have a 4x4 car you can drive around the beach and it takes almost one hour. There is a spectacular bird life with more than 26 species.

Take breakfast by the pool and shameless selfies on the pool swing :) Every detail in this house is meant to make it cozy while appealing to the eye. If it gets rainy, we suggest you jump on the couch for some Netflix time, or get to that 8 ball first if you feel like some pool! Hineni means Here Am I, send me! Hineni is a beach house with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. Walking distance from the beach and close to many restaurants and other areas to explore. We also own house nr 3 with the name: Hosannah. You are welcome to stay at any of these two beautiful homes.
