In the apartment you will find: - 1 big living room with a comfortable sofa, armchair, big working/dining table and a TV, overlooking the rooftops of Ghent - 1 fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, water boiler, dishwasher, fridge, French press and coffee grinder - 1 bedroom for 2 people (king size bed) overlooking the main street - 1 smaller bedroom with a box spring bed for 2 people and a desk - 1 bathroom with a bathtub and a standing shower - separate toilet - utility room with a washing machine, drying machine, ironing board, iron and a drying rack The apartment is equipped with a high-speed Wi-Fi. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with a shampoo, conditioner, make up remover, body lotion and various other hygienic products. Please take note, that the apartment is not suited for young children (say under the age of 5) since we are not equipped for this and also the furniture is not adjusted (glass coffee table for example). The apartment is on the 3rd floor, with no elevator. The apartment is very close to both public buses and trams. You will find the nearest tram station, Vogelmarkt (tram line 2), just around the corner, and the nearest bus station, Gent Zuid (most bus lines), a couple of streets away. Burgstraat 17 is an old Patrician house constructed in 1515. Later the house was split in 2 houses and became neglected for many years. In 2019 we started the renovation, with as only purpose, to keep the soul and respect the history and grandeur of the original house. Its exceptional history, unique architecture and central position made it worth doing so. Tears, joy and a lot of work resulted in the place where you are right now. Met de twee fietsen (inbegrepen in het verblijf) sta je op een kwartier aan de Korenmarkt. Bakker, slager, supermarkt en caféetjes op wandelafstand. Veel parkeerplek en vlot bereikbaar met bus of tram, haltes op minder dan een km afstand. Er is een goede busverbinding met het treinstation Gent-Sint-Pieters.

Op slechts 1 km van het treinstation Gent Dampoort, 800 m van de Flixbushalte, en 300 m van de bushalte (lijn 11) die u naar het stadscentrum brengt. De afstand tot het historische stadscentrum (Vrijdagmarkt, Sint-Jacobskerk) bedraagt 2 km. We hebben ook GRATIS FIETSEN voor u. Straatparkeren betalend tussen 9u en 19u, kost 3,5 euro per dag. Gratis parkeren op zondag en feestdagen.
