Historic Garden-Level Apartment in Eastern Market

New listing! Our bright, spacious English basement apartment is located in the heart of the Capitol Hill historic district, one of the most walkable neighborhoods in America! You’ll have your own entrance to our Romanesque-style row house dating from the 1890s and twice featured in Capitol Hill’s annual House and Garden Tour. The space is filled with light thanks to south-facing front windows. It’s nearly 1000 square feet and has an open floor plan, with plenty of room to spread out and relax. You’ll have everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, stocked kitchenette, and a full- sized washer and dryer. We love Capitol Hill and we think you’ll love it too! Historic Eastern Market, Barracks Row, scores of fine- and casual-dining options, a variety of bars, great coffee shops, local bookstores, and grocery stores are all an easy walk away. Each weekend, the area adjoining Eastern Market transforms into an open-air pedestrian-only shopping plaza showcasing local farmers, food vendors, artists, craftspeople, and musicians. The Capitol is a mile away, and a quick metro, cab, or ride-hailing trip will bring you to the White House, Smithsonian museums, monuments, or a Washington Nationals or DC United game. The Capital One Arena downtown is just a few more minutes away by metro if you want to catch a basketball or hockey game or are in town for a concert. Plus, there are off-the-beaten-path options like Historic Congressional Cemetery and the Shakespeare Library if you’re interested in a road less traveled. The apartment is accessible by a private doorway underneath the main stairs at the front of the house. We will provide a key code for the door. Just two blocks from the Eastern Market metro stop, this leafy Capitol Hill district is a vibrant community, with a variety of fine dining options, casual restaurants, bars, and grocery stores close by. The Capitol is just a short metro ride away. Eastern Market Metro Stop is on the orange, silver and blue line. This metro stop is only 2 blocks from the apartment. Please, no smoking on our property. Parking is usually available on the street on the same block as our home. Please contact us at least two days in advance with your vehicle’s make, model, and license plate number/state so we can get you a long-term parking permit.

The apartment was designed using a traditional french motif. The bedroom and kitchen are just off of the main living area; While small, the bedroom and kitchen are very accessible, with high end finishes. The main living room is central to the apartment, it is impeccably designed using west elm furniture, and has a 50 square foot window overlooking infamously lighted-tree lined Addison street. The living room also has a functional gas fireplace and a built in desk which overlooks a quaint Philadelphia street. There is a wonderful outdoor patio off of the bedroom complete with a fountain, an antique iron patio set, and a skyline view of Philadelphia.. The whole apartment; full kitchen, outdoor space, grill, fireplace Yes. Please call or text or message through airbnb. The apartment is in an upscale neighborhood in Philadelphia with many small, intimate restaurants within walking distance. It’s central to many of Philadelphia's best attractions, located directly between Rittenhouse Square, Center City and South Street. The location is perfect and the apartment couldn't be cozier. Cabs and Uber are everywhere, but the location can't be beat...walking is best and preferred. Venture over to Rittenhouse square for a taste of elegance or check out south street between 14th and 17th street for a more mellow but exciting nightlife and restaurant scene. Walnut street features great shops. And Chestnut street offers a more traditional nightlife and dining experience. All are within a 5 minute walking radius. Lots of little extras (homemade goodies, my own coffee blend!, etc) Great alternative to hotels- stunningly beautiful ALL NEWLY renovated new 2 bed 2 bath (all marble!) garden level apt. New large windows too! Very walkable, easy access to public transport/app rides.GREAT DC location, terrific amenities, gracious host. Can’t do better in DC than this comfortable, turnkey DC apartment.
