Tenten in Gloucestershire

This campsite was a great place to stay. In a pretty spot by the river with all the amenities for camping that you need.

We’ve stayed in lots of safari tents over the years but Firs is one of the best sites we’ve visited. The cabin bed and den for smaller kids was superb. The whole place was fantastic and had everything we needed. The area was beautiful with lots to do and shops/pubs/park all within walking distance. Will definitely be visiting again. Simon was a brilliant host and gave us some great recommendations. 10/10

Ruth’s tents were amazing, really comfy and she goes the extra mile to ensure a truly special experience. Clean, luxurious and the added touches make it extra special. Can’t recommend them higher.

We had a wonderful stay at the yurt with our four children. The beds were comfortable, the view incredible and the children simply adored playing at the playground and visiting the animals when the park closed and it was empty. The shepherds hut was a welcome facility giving us a place to wash up and prepare a warm breakfast in the morning without having to light a fire and a friendly groundsman even brought us fresh eggs from the hens! Will be recommending this delightful place to all our friends!

spacious tents with absolute stunner of a view overlooking the mouth of river Severn. Conveniently located at a Manor estate with enough things to do for a whole such as a little zoo, beautiful gardens, adventure land for kids etc. Toilet and shower units are clean and well maintained and situated within very close proximity to tents. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and staff were extra helpful and friendly

Stayed at the site in a bell tent for 5 nights by myself. I was looking for a few days away to relax. I was tucked away in a secluded spot with great views over the valley. Felt very private and a great space to chill out myself. The nearby village is a short walk with a nice pub that has live music often, and a community shop with local produce. The nearby town is walkable too with a few supermarkets. (about 45m walk). I went to the farmers market in nearby Stroud on a Saturday and stocked up on great food that I cooked on my BBQ every day. Tiz was there to welcome me to the site and checked up everyday, she gave me great tips and details about the local area. The showers are hot and powerful. There is a communal area with cooking facilities etc. though I didn't use it very often as I stayed in my area. I have nothing negative to say about my stay. Had a great time and wish I could have stayed longer.

An amazing find. Great stay with 2 young kids. Tents were amazing and looked exactly like the photos . Really clean toilets and showers. Great clean linen and towels provided. Comfy beds. We watched the sunset from our tent and had an amazing view. Close to the animals and park kids loved it and would definitely recommend and go back.

Loved it. Great to get away from it all in a place that feels detached from the outside world. Beautiful scenery and location. Will come again.

Had a fab couple of nights away in Bluebell. We were two best friends (46 & 47), plus our two boys (10 & 9), and we booked the Safari tent for a weekend adventure. There was plenty of space, and the tents were well provisioned. Having the log burner in the tent was a massive plus, keeping the February chill away for most of the night. The toilet, shower and washing up facilities were pristine and we felt right at home. We had an amazing time, and are already considering going back again!

We've just had a lovely 3 nights staying at Julia's place. The bell tent is really spacious with comfortable beds and was perfect for me, my partner and our 2 kids (6 and 4). There was so much to do that the kids weren't all that bothered about going out! The trampoline and swing are fab and the games room is amazing. It's so well stocked we had hours of fun in there. Julia was absolutely lovely and welcoming and went out of her way to help us. The girls really enjoyed feeding her ducks and ponies with her. We would definitely go back.

I wanted to book a few nights away with my family, away from the busy life we all have, so we can spend quality time together, in a peaceful location. This place was exactly what I was looking for. Peaceful, tranquil and beautiful surroundings. Steph has thought of everything in these canvas cottages. The beds were amazingly comfy and the electric blankets was a hit in keeping us extra warm at night. We loved the honesty shop, everything was easily accessible, plenty of fire wood for the wood burner. Everything you need, and exactly what is advertised, home from home. Kids loved the trampoline (play) area, the hammocks and the hut tub. Our dog had the best time too. The lovely welcome gifts and a very informative booklet about everything you need to know for your stay here. This place is absolutely amazing and we will definitely be back with our friends to enjoy it again. I loved waking up to the sound of animals in the morning. Thank you Steph for being an amazing host. 😊

Had a lovely 2 nights at Greenacres with the dogs. Very cosy & peaceful. The spot was ideal to relax, bbq and let the dogs roam safely. The location was great to get around for some walks. The bathrooms are lovely (when i read others reviews, I thought it an odd way to describe a toilet/shower, but they really are!) clean, hot shower, spacious, private! All amenities were perfect. I've never been much of a camper/glamper, but this little tranquil site and cosy tent (Robin), lovely amenities, the comfy bed, little outhouse kitchen and peace I felt here have converted me, I could have stayed for a week! I will be back 😊 Do pop into the adorable little shop opposite, just wow! It's rammed with goodness, try the Sausages! Emma recommended the Penny Farthing pub, lovely & friendly. Sadly the newly renovated Crown inn next to site did not allow dogs! Symonds Yat & St Anthonys well were lovely for walking. Thank you for a lovely stay and being so attentive with all my questions.

We had a fantastic time. The kids loved it and the accommodation and amenities were fantastic. Christine was a brilliant host. She was very accommodating and couldn't do enough for you and provided us with great places to visit with the kids. Would 100% recommend and would definitely visit again.

We really enjoyed our time in Periwinkle Safari Tent. Having a fridge, beds, firepit etc, all made it an extra special - luxury - camping experience. The washrooms were lovely too. Little extras, such as ear plugs, blankets and hot water bottles were really nice to have and made it homely. My two children made friends in the play park with another couple of kids whilst we were there, and it all together made it a great break away! We visited Croft Farm Water Park for stand-up-paddleboarding whilst we stayed - as it’s only 15 mins away. Highly recommend it all as a treat get-away.

Excellent place for me and the kids for a couple Kids loved it and want to come back again!
