We're open-Hurricane Helene spared our county! Are the backwoods calling? Travel on uneven gravel & dirt to arrive at this tiny home and unique setting. 400 sq ft cabin overlooks 2 boulder filled creeks plus a mountain ridge view! 2 mi from paved road w/shallow potholes & rocks. 5" clearance (not 4WD) needed. NOT suitable for motorcycles. (Charging EV batteries not allowed. Venomous snakes and wild animals live in the woods) Use ONLY our directions and you'll enjoy the adventure getting here!

Wow! It's beautiful here -- nothing quite like it. All the amenities, but kinda like stepping back in time 30 years to a slower, more peaceful time. On the bank of West Buffalo Creek, close to Cherohala Skyway, Joyce Kilmer, Tail of the Dragon, GSMNP and Lake Santeetlah. Washer/dryer, AC, heat, dishwasher, microwave, TV, on world class trout stream. 1 large br w/2 queen beds, 1 1/2 bath. Campfire/picnic area, ample parking. Pet friendly w/$50 pet fee. Wifi. Fire pit, grill & table creekside.

Pet friendly cabin just 1 mile off hwy 28 on a 2 lane paved country road with paved driveway & covered parking.Neighborhood is quiet & peaceful with easy access for motorcycles & low profile sports cars.Close to Tail of the Dragon.Great area for hiking, fishing & water activities as we are located close to Fontana Lake & numerous hiking trails.Also great area for nature enthusiasts as you can enjoy the wild ducks in the creek from the porch.On occasion you may see deer or other wildlife.

Right On The River ~ Sauna ~

Forget the world in this relaxing, private oasis right on the river. Bring your entire crew and unwind from the daily grind. Enjoy a sauna and a plunge in the river, or a game of pool. Nantahala has no cell service, but we have wifi, and the most amazing piece of heaven anyone could ask for. The river forms a horse-shoe shape around the cabin making you feel like you’re surrounded by nature. Plenty of room for cookouts and children to play. Nothing like a firepit right on the water!

Heartstone At Mountain Creek Rest!

Heartstone tent site is one of two stunningly beautiful, and romantic campsites. They are Heartstone and Diamondstone! Heartstone is the huge, beautiful, terraced tentsite located on the convergence of 2 mountain streams! Diamondstone is the hand built mini-cabin neighbor next door, also on the creek! The two sites are neighbors but the thick woods provide a nice visual barrier for all! The gravel road is uneven, and 5" of clearance is recommended. Be considerate of others.
