Called “Slipper Rock” in memory of Bessie Lakes, an elderly lady that lived on farm many years ago. She could be heard laughing while playing in the stream that runs by the cabin. She called the stream “Slipper Rock”. The newly built cabin sits on 15 acres. Numerous hiking trails & horseback riding trails. Some trails in Daniel Boone National Forest. Bring your own horses. This newly freshened, mid-century home is located in the city limits of Manchester, KY, a Trail Town. It sits just a few hundred feet from the Salt Works Village and boat ramp to Goose Creek. It is a short walk or drive to one of our many swinging bridges, the Clay County Historical Society, and a number of restaurants, stores, and churches. A five minute drive can have you to the Federal Correctional Institute, AdventHealth Manchester Hospital, or Beech Creek Campground and Lake.

Creekside Adventures

Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. Our guest suite is very spacious and open. Many of our guest have let us know how inviting and relaxing it is to stay in. We also have a creek where our children use to play when they were little. Kids can easily play in it when the weather is nice but please be careful on the walls and stones. We also have a pool area that is available for swimming during late May through early September. We do not allow pets. No Parties

This unit is a condo overlooking a beautiful spring-fed lake and a wonderful mountain background. Feel free to take a stroll around the property, and in the evening make a fire and roast marshmallows. This location is just over 11 miles off of I75. Close attractions include Cumberland Falls, Levi Jackson, Pine Mountain, Colonel Sanders Museum, Laurel Lake and more. This is a former paylake and no longer used for fishing except when private events have booked the entire property.

The cottage is also close to three different boat ramps on Laurel River Lake and is just a skip and a hop to the Daniel Boone National Forest filled with everything outdoors.
